Though James is too nice to be actually mad at certain things let alone 30 year old games, Mike is actually that pompous faggot which overinflates his opinions, and sadly is actually too dumb to second guess himself some times and thus shit on the game for his own definciencies. James being the casual that he is on any game outside his comfort zone (in a cute way) shits his pants at any attempt to actually figure out said games most of the times, not even bothering to look up for instructions online for (these guys don't even check the manual because it's "work", while Nintendo Power issues are A-okay by some mystical leap of logic), but I concede that actually knowing how a game works would place the blame on the player and not actually make for "funny" episodes when the fun is blaming the game.

Sometimes the exaggerations are genuinely born out of obliviousness, but in a cute way. Of course it's not so cute when the result of that is trashing something you grow affection for, or that legitimately doesn't deserve it. He could shit on SMB2 or Zelda or Castlevania but it wouldn't matter because he knows, and we know it would be on jest because the majority of people worldwide like those games including him and thus they're automatically shielded from "exaggerated" criticism. But take something below the layer of obscurity and things become less obvious and predictable, and as such you have really no way of discerning something being told as accurate or pure fabrication born out of ignorance. The video doesn't rectify any factual errors it might state in any way, and as such your only option is to look things up or play it yourself, and needless to say most people are not going to.
