How is there any debate whatsoever about whether SNES or Genesis was the better console?

SNES had better graphics, better sound, better controller and a WAY better library of games.

Super Mario world, Donkey Kong series, a link to the past, super metroid, final fantasy 6, mega man, star fox, chrono trigger, breath of fire, Yoshies island, harvest moon. The list goes on and on.

Sega had a bunch of sports games, inferior versions of SNES games (in most cases), and of course its crown jewel, Sonic the hedgehog, which is an objectively shit game propped up by nostalgia from autistic edge lords. You can count the games worth playing on one hand.

How are there unironically people who think the Sega was the better system? Are they just mad they never had a snes?

every snes game is plagued with slowdown, sprite limits and runs like shit with low fps and genny had the most iconic soundtracks of the entire period.

The original Rocket Knight Adventures, Streets of Rage, Golden Axe, Ristar, Comix Zone, Micro Machines...

Gens had some top tier platformers and arcade conversions.

When I think of the SNES I mostly remember comfy RPGs. Usually made by Square.

Both were good choices
