smartphone may be as powerful or even more powerful than a PC, though it's design, from everything from hardware to OS and other software is NOT even close as adequate as a PC is for gaming. A smartphone is even mediocre for browsing the internet. Don't even bring up the handheld thing because those gadgets are made for gaming puposes and games are exclusively designed for them.

Android phones have pretty good emulators. Even early android playstation emulation was amazing for what it was running on and was better than a few pc emulators and most linux emulators. Android emulation now is only inferior because of touch controls, which can be remedied with a myriad of connectable controlers, some of which connect to the usb port which cuts a lot of lag. yes im angery lol, no but seriously android is OS designed for touch screen systems such as smartphones and tablets, in which it performs OK for certain tasks and fucks up seriously in other stuff such as data managment across apps (see all the fuss you have to do to delete permanently some files from your phone because of duplicates). Until you can put a smartphone on a desk and wire everything you can wire to a PC for gaming purposes (keyboard, joysticks, monitors), and then you get games, the caliber of quality PC or gaming consoles have gotten, designed exclusively for it, the smartphone will always be the inferior choice for gaming purposes and remain only as the bes- no, the fastest on "the go" thing, to share whataver gay shit you want to share on instagram normie faggot kek.

this is how it goes as far emulation is concerned:
GOD TIER:
Computer: PC on top of the rest, competent laptop/miniPC last, windows OS: it's the standard for everything gaming/emulation.
MID TIER:
gaming handhelds (3ds, vita, etc., at least they have built-in controls apt for gaming) and Android portables with built in controls, fuck bluetooth and the wireless meme, it's brought nothing but headaches as far as 100% connection reliability is concerned.
SHIT tier:
a portable android touchscreen system designed for making phone calls and/or running apps made for looking at a map and quickly replying to a message, be it an instant one, or e-mail; and being gay on social media (the latter happened due to the cancerous nature of the smartphone "fan").
