Unironically, the lack of options. Just premade images. Some like links awakening and pokemon were cool but if you could screenshot shit and print it it would have been better

It would of been better if they made a camera for the super Nintendo or N64 instead.

Awesome concept the picture resolution unfortunately was not good.

Unironically same. My now-wife and I were going through my old video games like 12 years ago and she found my game boy camera and printer. She asked me to print out a topless pic. Obviously was bad quality and for a laugh but I had to wonder if there was ever more than a few nudes taken on game boy cameras.

I have used my game boy camera to take a 30 picture sequence/video (gbpc has options for both taking and viewing those) where I fist myself.

I wish I was joking.

It has at least in theory something to do with actual real life fishing, instead of retarded fishing simulator games.

From what I've heard, it's better than similarly-priced stuff since the user supplies his own cpu and screen, but obviously worse than high-end stuff. It's good for what it is and for its price point.

So the reason this and the gameboy sewing machine existed was that back then it was cheaper to adapt and use a gameboy's processor than to make your own "computer" to do whatever task you wanted.

It was fun for consumers. Probably profitable for Nintendo and Jupiter. A win/win all around. The real question is why YOU think something went wrong?

As a toy it was pretty cool. I liked printing off stickers of game boy camera pictures. It was always nice to see another game support it too.

Objectively it's not an advanced technology by any means, and the picture quality isn't good. The size of the printouts are pretty small too.

It did what it needed to do, which is sell pointless peripherals and requiring refills that were pretty much only made by Nintendo. It was kinda popular with kids, too.

It's like asking 'what went wrong with the Game Boy Camera', which is also 'nothing' even if it was a shit camera.
