I know, but this trans thing triggered russians so much. In russian Doom community they now massively rejecting playing wads with original doom.wad/doom2.wad, because these iwads contain Romero's art. They still play Doom but only with freedoom.wad or that 3D model/hires pack.

In russia if someone supported gays, that person becomes gay as well and the things that this person touches (like art, games) become gay as well. It's called by one word "Zashkvar". Yes. Rachael (zdoom.org) owner supported gay rights (trans are gay in russia). So a gzdoom build from zdoom.org is considered gay as well and if you download it from there you attach a bad spiritual energy to yourself when playing it.

But if you download gzdoom build from any other website it stops being gay. Also russians removed and replaced all romero assets in their build and it's no longer working with doom2.wad/doom.wad. You can play it only with Freedoom.wad. They added a mod that adds 3d and hires alternatives to romero's 2d artwork.

So I was playing around with GMOTA in preparation for the next big update when I had a sort of stupid thought/idea: Is there some way to disable the sword return timer, even if temporality beyond just cracking your knuckles every 15 seconds? Speaking of Q3 and Champions,I feel sad for the latter. There's clearly a lot of dedication for the game when it comes to designs, maps and soundtrack but it doesn't seem they have a clever idea on what is their target audience.

Yeah, art and sound wise it's pretty damn good- I don't like that it isn't quite as outwardly gory and wet on the playermodels as Q3 especially for returning characters like Anarki and Slash, but it's meant to carry the Q1 style instead which the Russkie artists did a good job of both map and player wise, with oodles of shout-outs to older games and such in the skins and lore and even the maps. The unfortunate part is the comics sold so poorly they combined the last two, they chose some of the less interesting characters (Visor being a cheeki breeki murderhobo instead of, say, Galena's whack-ass Elder God-worship chosen-one servant backstory), and of course having a short comic series only makes people draw even more (generally incorrect) parallels to Overwatch, because Overwatch invented comics, just like it invented player classes with deployable turrets.

The engine isn't good enough to support the gameplay and they can't rely on the waifu-love-porn-SFM audience for advertising because they don't have the budget to commission it all themselves like some suspect Blizzard does, and Joe Normie only wants his perfect blonde healer mommy or 'Just like me!!!!' anime gamer gurl in a mech, not a heroin-addicted derby girl with an Outer God prodding at her brain or a scarred to shit, possibly-undead butch warrior lady whose only sex appeal comes from if you're the type of person who jacked off to Vasquez in Aliens and Lt. Here's a fun combo idea:
Any time she takes damage, she teleports away, but can only do so 2 times, and dies on the 3d attempt to teleport no matter what's her remaining health is.
Essentially she has 3 hitpoints, but any attack only takes 1 and makes her teleport.
She can teleport up to a players side (either left or right, but not front/back) and give him a kiss (sound warning for her presence), which steals health from the player. After each sucessful kiss, she teleports away and can resurrect one monster, before needing a "refill" from the player. Additionally every successful kiss restores her hitpoints.

Maybe incorporate this "dual sprite" thing some people were proposing? When she's in her "human" form she's invulnerable and unable to attack - but she can run away and maybe rezz and buff other enemies. She only attacks in her "monster" form. I think bruxae in Witcher 3 worked like that.

Have her look hideous normally, but give her an attack where she shoots some kind of heart styled projectile at the player. If it hits, she transforms visually into an attractive girl beckoning them toward her, and the player is slowly pulled in her direction until they attack her to break free. If the player gets pulled into melee range, she turns back into her demonic form and does an equivalent to a chainsaw attack that also drains health.

It could be done with some shenanigans to alter player speed so they can "move" without actually moving to simulate trying to struggle free from the tractor beam-like effect.

Well I went through them all before, but I never pistol started all the levels in Ultimate Doom so I was able to do the first three episodes well. Of course the big problem with the start of episode 4 is that once you beat the first level you often don't have a lot of health left which isn't a problem if I pistol start but then I lose the rocket launcher from the previous level. So many Barons of Hell on that level which made it a pain in the ass. Though it seems like the BFG clips through the wall so you can get it a bit earlier which could make certain encounters a bit more doable.

I got over one hump and will have to get through the third mission, but one that I am fearing now is that one with the teleporter pillar in the middle of the lava. I just know that level will be a bitch and a half while trying to pick up any meaningful weapons. Hell there is just that cyber demon at the exit.

It'll work. The base Doom isn't all that hard, and the rules of the game are pretty simple.
It's also open to a fair bit of different strategies, for example, if you're really used to how some modern shooters make you use cover (one way or another), those tactics actually translate pretty well and work in Doom.
It handles weapons and health differently, but it's simple and easy to get into.

And it's not like the game was just "kind of ok for its time", the gameplay and design is fundamentally solid, it's as timeless as Tetris.
