I barely recall it, but an arcade game called Nostromo. You shot stationary aliens, and sometimes a spaceship would fly down the center of the screen. It had nothing to do with the movie, Alien, but it was from around that time.

Not this specific model, but I don't remember enough to figure out what the one I had was. I'm not old, my dad found it at a hard sale and got it since we couldn't afford anything else.

Got this bad boy along with the DKC SNES bundle for my 4th birthday. I still remember the excitement. Put Mario's Time Machine in first because I was familiar with Mario from my cousins and the cartoon, and time travel is fun. Turns out I didn't quite have the reading skills to play it very well yet. Popped in Donkey Kong a short time later and became absolutely enamored with it. I did return to the educatainment game in the months and years to follow and had a lot of fun with it when I could read better. I definitely credit it in part to fostering my love of history

This lad called Joe that lived around the corner got a Mega Drive for Christmas years ago. We lived on the same estate so I would sometimes walk by his house at night and see his room lit up by his TV. I went round his house to play Streets Of Rage once and it seemed like we were playing for hours and hours. It was 10pm by the time I got home, which was late for me because my parents were strict and I was only 12. Life happened and we stopped hanging out as much. I heard his parents died in an accident. Years later, I must have been 24, I saw him again. I was walking by his house and I noticed his old bedroom glowing again with TV light. For a second it looked like his face appeared in the window, only he was still a 12 year old boy. He was smiling and holding a Mega Drive pad up in the air. He was looking at me, but not seeing me. The light flickered in his room, and went dark.

Mine was Super Mario 64. I went back and played older systems as a kid too but this was the first I ever played. I still have everything with it! Thank God my dad had the foresight that his 4 year old will fuck up a box that will have meaning later in life.
