Is there any way to sell my gog game catalogue? Not a straightforward process I imagine, but I assume I could give access to my account to whoever by changing the default e-mail. The only thing that can't be changed AFAIK is the nickname, I can live with that.

Sounds like you already know exactly how it would work. But... Why?

Various reasons really, I've decided to make some changes in my life.

791 games, anyone?

The games on GOG are literally DRM-free.

Meaning both a pirate and a legitimate customer get exact same experience. You both download the same installer and install exact same files, no cracking or other tomfoolery needed.

So why the fuck would I be interested in your account?

maybe somebody would be interested in supporting the GOG people for doing what they are doing?

Also, good luck to anyone downloading torrented executables.

THIS.

GOG piracy is a minefield. Half the stuff out there (or more) has spyware or worse on it.

Supporting the gog team by not buying the games from them but giving that money to you instead? Fuck off you mad cunt

It's called doing reasearch and checking your sources. The time you spend making sure you are getting a clean install is your tradeoff for not spending cash

Once someone buys the account he is much more likely to keep buying form gog than someone who just pirates shit, no?

GOG installers are digitally signed, you morons. Meaning even if you change one single byte it will not run. They're impossible to tamper with. That's why they're the safest piracy option by far.

I bought them all discounted, I paid some 1600 Eur in total, I reckon they'd cost 3 times as much at full price. Make me an offer and I'll consider it.

Honestly I am not even sure if that's much more stupid than the average trite people spread around here on a regular basis. People love to waste all their money and useless stuff and get in trouble for it in various ways and they will still tell you that they made the right choice by spending hundreds on a single game and project their low finances on others calling them out being poor.

Though yes, as you and others in this thread already stated it is incredibly stupid to sell an account, especially for something like GOG where games are chump change compared to original CIB PC releases and you might spend a few hundred dollars at worst to get anything you might want on it and that's assuming you really want to play everything retro PC gamers love to boast about. I've been playing PC games for decades and even if I had to rebuy a few games I had to spend 30 bucks at most. Especially with sales you'd be crazy not to pick up some you've wishlisted for a while unless you're downloading them through torrents, in which case you weren't going to buy anything from GOG anyway.

>> No.5370135

>>5368621
If you can't figure that out on your own, piracy definitely isn't for you.

>> No.5370404

Probably a horrible idea to sell your account since it's most likely illegal. Not a lawyer, but if even making a no-cd is breaching a copyright law, selling your account is most likely as well. Plus, you posted it on a public image board.

I recognize your behavior, I've done stuff like this myself as well. Just let the account sit and just work on yourself in other ways. If you're going through some stuff, just reach out to people. There's always someone willing to listen. Doing impulsive things is not the way.

Take care of yourself, Anon.

>> No.5371001

>>5370972
Digital signature is system level. Nothing to do with GOG's programmers.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/drivers/install/digital-signatures

The best you can do is make your own installer that would imitate GOG's but the user could just right click on the file -> properties and see that it's missing GOG's signature and it's not legit.

Basically too much work for too little gain. Better just infect some typical AAA game repack.

>> No.5371189

>>5370972
The amount of effort required to it vs. how easy it is to spot by someone with zero computer skills... literally not worth it. That's why GOG installers are always left alone, but you have all sort of Steam repacks full of shit.
