What are even the settings and renderer being used? Anyway remember that UT could be played with onboard graphics without a GPU, unlike Q3. That said anyone would agree that idtech 3 was a more advanced engine, UE started development even before idtech 2.

Unreal engine 1 looked vastly, hilariously better in software mode than Idtech 2 did with the best 3d acceleration available. At least, whenever the mapmakers weren't going mad with the power of ZOMG COLORED LIGHTING AND FOG and turning everything into a crazy technicolor disco vomit nightmare. Idtech 3 leapfrogged it for sure once GPUs became ubiquitous but that's not really a relevant comparison.

Played the fuck out of bombing-run in UT2003.
I loved insta-gib, low grav, double jump.
Fucking best fps game ever.
Bombing run was the shit.
Met some amazing players, played with some of the best clans.
I played that game till its death, when literally only 4 servers would be active and they were EU, so I lagged hard and always got frustrated.

Reshade has MXAO but I don't use it because I want my setup to be lighter and more generic (so it works with many other games).

Nali Weapons adds new, destructive weapons
like a Gravity Gun and turrets

Jailbreak is a new game mode where if someone gets killed, they are put in a jail and their buddies have to go in and free them. So you have to defend against the jailbreakers and if your buddies get caught, you have to free them. https://www.moddb.com/mods/ut-jailbreak

Monster Hunter is pretty much survival mode, you have to fight off waves of enemies from Unreal and each wave they spawn more and tougher enemies.

UT4 looks really nice but development has ceased.

It looks like fans might resume development of OpenTournament, though. Probably the only way forward at this point if we want more Unreal.

Yeah, and the mods will be less likely to respond if someone is ghostbumping. They'll just tell people to wait a week instead of asking them to intervene. They probably see the boardrushing to kill the threads as a bigger problem.
