Watching that video you posted is actually the stupidest thing I have seen all week. 6 minutes in is as far as I could make it. He complains how crash "burns through the few ideas it has" by using the same theme for 2 levels. Yea, there are no other games with themed areas with levels that have the same theme. Well it was playable enough for the time. Crash 2 on the other hand is one of the best 3D platformers period. People hate on the remakes but it makes crash 1 in particular way more playable (besides the bridge levels I know)

Yeah, agreed. Nintendo is becoming something i dont like as much as i used to. Its a combination of the increasingly insane fanatics who see nintendo as some kind of god and my own realizations that nintendo games are not as good as i once thought. They have fairly good mechanics and cute graphics, but are quite shallow in most respects. That is why i think nintendo fanatics try and over analyze every aspect of their games. They want there to be so much more depth to the games, when there isnt. They are designed for children, theres not supposed to have as much lore or depth as an rpg. Its just not there. Its getting harder to watch and especially here on /vr/ its like an insanity anex revolving around the same regurgitated talking points in some heinous circle jerk of ego stroking. Which is usually fine, this is 4chan/nel, but i just dont understand how they can say the same things for over and over with no break. There is never not a time when a new oot/mm/sm64 thread is on the front page vomiting the exact same thing they said in the thread thats still probably on page 5 or 6. Its insanity!

Crash and Spyro are actually full of interesting content, unlike all the garbage collect-a-thons on the cartridge-kiddy N64. PSX was the best console for platforms as well as RPGs and action games.

Wut? Spyro is a hundred times the collectathon of anything that isn't DK64. It's good, but most of it consists of running over to gems laid out for you and rarely does it come to be as interesting as Banjo-Kazzoie or actually try to challenge you.
