yeah, dooms not doom. I think saint did a playthrough of the series a while back. I'm suprised it doesn't get more coverage, it's very well made and while the earlier games have some spelling errors the prose becomes much better later on and the characters are great

well most of his games were able to be shared freely even if you got them from the private tracker, but some he got from the original creators which didn't want them to be distributed, or he was selling them to a few collectors that were probably unaware they were being posted online. Either way i don't get his secrecy with them because the people who care about these games can be counted on one hand and all of them are abandonware, it's not like he was at risk for sharing them. People should just post them to public sites like Macintosh Garden, because this private tracker mentality will just lead to these games being lost again if they aren't publicly distributed.

None of those are japanese, therefore they are not obscure. Japanese games have a strict law on sharing or copying games, making them incredibly hard to share and fine, most western games have been downloaded and posted to multiple BBS's or old shareware disks, making them incredibly easy to find.

They're "demos" in that you should always buy a game if you like it.

LW guide:
- Red links are the full game
- Yellow links are ripped games (audio, video, and textures are either downsampled/compressed or removed to save on space. Scene practice in earlier days. Some contain separate packs to restore the games completely. I wouldn't recommend this unless you're capped on data or just want to help preserve scene released)
- Green links are actual demos
- Blue links are mods
- And alpha/beta builds and the likes are either blue or green, I don't remember it's been a while.
