I heard some people say it has some timing errors and other inaccuracies on some enhancement chips.

no such thing as "perfect" when emulating.

Its close enough that even the turbo autist can't notice differences without tools.

The timing is wrong on CX4 chip games such as Megaman X2.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2aN9Qu5u6Hc

Who know what other games are fudged by imperfect emulation of expansion chips?
Krikzz won't tell you; he wants to keep selling these.

> timing errors and other inaccuracies
Only on the new RedGuy cores, meaning SuperFX and SA1 games.
They don't have any noticeable visual or audio inaccuracies, but they run a little too fast.
That's why the SD2SNES isn't allowed in some speedrunning communities.
Unfortunately fanboys get really fucking mad when you bring this up, and RedGuy doesn't seem interested in 100% accuracy, so it probably won't change unless another person is willing to work on the project.

The timing is wrong on the CX4 in the MM demo because they literally overclocked it. It's an option you have to deliberately turn on.

There's an insane psychopath around here who is trying to pretend that hardware simulation like flashcarts is "emulation" and he goes around talking about it like it's common knowledge. Obviously, anyone who knows anything about computers knows an FPGA simulating a chip is simulation, it has nothing to do with emulation. Yes in broader contexts there can be such a thing as "hardware emulation", that is not the case here. The phrase "emulation can never be 100%", for whatever meaning it has for emulation, it certainly does not apply to flashcarts which often include no chip and have the exact same input/output as an actual cartridge.

How much faster? How much % faster? Does it break any games with game logic that must be precisely synchronized? Does the extra speed improve certain games? How does this extra speed affect the frame rate in games?

when you know all intricacies, features and bugs of the chips you're trying to simulate, which nobody does, as these chips were custom designs.
so yes, it's emulation.

'chip simulation', as you put it, is no better than using a clone system; in the end you're still emulating original hardware. so, where are all those 100% compatibility hardware clones kid?

Shame we're talking about running the real game code on the real hardware then, innit.

Sit in the shame corner.

if they can get the same bits in/out at the same clock rate by "emulating" the chips, who gives a fuck.

it's arguably better than the actual chips as those will break down and error out over time

Emulated hardware, yes.

Can they?

clone systems are not at all comparable to fpga. Your are a retard for even pretending to think that.

>real hardware is emulation
You are the moron that said it, not us. Just remember this is why people hate you. Lies are lies, kid.

I really can't understand why people like this are not removed from earth. It would be easy to find them and end it. Just knock on their moms door and ask for the manchild of the house, then ask if they think fpgs/real hardware = emulation. Done.
