My uncle gave me this model that apparently isn't that common. He just had it lying around and never uses it.

Ironic how you posted Wand of Gamelon and I have a somewhat rare CDi model. But at least it saves me money on a controller cause it's built right into it.

I would prefer they didn't. They re-released it for Virtual Console on the Wii. Today I loaded it up, and played it for a few minutes. I don't think a remake would work. The art style and everything about the game seems like it belongs right where it is at that time and place.

I use them for computer music mainly, midi is just a serial interface some games used for separate high quality sound. Nearly all x68000 use it which is why I have so many. Also there were many subtle changes across models that will affect sound reproduction which is why I need a stack of them.

I've got a handful of rare bits and bobs tucked away from my childhood, but the certified rarest is still this gold, OoT Edition Game Boy Camera. Only 2000 were made and distributed through the Nintendo Power catalog. I actually remember getting it for $15 because it was on clearance.

I had never even seen one in the collector's market until this past November; two went up on ebay. One sold for $300, the other sold for $999. It's so rare that most people don't even know it exists, or what a consistently fair price for it might be, but apparently folks are willing to pay for it when it pops up.

Considering there's far less of it in the world than gold, doesn't seem too absurd. At only 2000 units, I often wonder how many of them have been lost/destroyed/thrown out over the years. Just 20 of them would account for 1% of the entire run. I'd love to know how many actually currently exist.

I remember getting mine in the mail on the day before our class went on a whale watch so I took it with me and I held onto it so tightly because I was afraid I was going to drop it over the side, somehow. I might still have a picture or two saved on it from that day, I should check when I get home.

Have nothing super rare besides my Virtual Boy (old pic) and my NGPC, I have a special connection to them since I actually did the solder fix on my VB and had to basically revive the NGPC (the speaker disintegrated and the board was fucked).
It's also not exactly /vr/ but I do have a copy of DQV in English on the DS, I guess it's rarer than the Super Famicom version of V (probably less so than the Japanese PS2 version)

Not particularly strange or rare, but my copy of OoT is V1.0, with the red blood and Islamic chanting in the Fire Temple. Grey cart instead of gold, though, but it is CIB.

>Grey cart instead of gold, though, but it is CIB.
I have a feeling those may end up to be more rare than gold editions, the 1.0s that is, not the 1.2.s;et al.

Fun fact: Nintendo made revised editions of OoT BEFORE the gold editions were shipped. Do you realize what that means? This can be confirmed through the cart-tilt trick and debug which details all the builds and their releases.

It always sounded like Native American chanting to me, but yes, I know it's been confirmed. For what it's worth, they put it an obscure racing game too.

Based Nintendo gave all of us a warning about Muslims in that game and the build dates confirm it. Why else have revised versions ready? So Nintendo could act innocent and say:"Oh, so sorry, please to accept non-redpilled versions, Burger-san."

Mine surely isn't the only copy, though I doubt more than a few hundred were produced and probaby only tens still exist (an ad exists that tells what store chain sold them, so we can make a guess from their size back then).

What's more the recent versions took the Islamic crescent off of the mirror shield in OoT remakes. They also dropped the cross off Link's shield by SNES. Also "Bible" came with the first game.

Theory: Hyrule is a Crusader kingdom. Link was meant to be a Germanic Christian. Ganondorf was meant to be an Arab Muslim.

They changed it to avoid accusations of raycism.

I just realized that game compilations were insanely cheap with a lot more games back in the day. I remember seeing a game I liked and a game compilation with 12 games (one of those games was the SAME game) next to it. I had a choice of buying a game I wanted for the full price or buying the game I wanted for 1/3 of the same price and 11 more games.

Sometimes economics didn't make any sense.

I thought I'd take a new picture cause the one I was using was a bit outdated. All the games are cib except some of the Genesis games (and metal storm), which sucks, because finding a manual for Trouble shooter is going to impossible. Doesn't matter though because I got the Genesis stuff long before they shot up to the prices they're at now. The only newest additions would be the Turbografx stuff and Chrono Trigger, which I all got last year. Was patient and finally found a cib copy of CT for about $150 CAD. I still have yet to play Tales of Destiny II, which I'm excited for cause I quite liked the first one.
