I had both I preferred the genesis.
But it was probaly because I owned the genesis first.
Both systems are great.

But three of my friends that were Nintendo loyalist seemed to be disappointed in the SNES at the time.

It was not uncommon in 1994 for a middle class teenager to have acquired a new,genesis and a SNES and a game boy during this era.

Same here except I got a SNES first. I think both are great systems and well worth owning but the Genesis library had more games overall that I really got into.
