I recently returned home from a deployment. You can understand my utter excitement and joy upon seeing a 4chan board dedicated strictly to the true, genuine retro lifestyle. Born in '82, grew up from the NES era, been playing games for several hours a day for the past 25+ years. This board was made for me. I can finally geek out about my childhood and cherished memories around peers who can relate and understand.

I was trying to think of some way to show my appreciation. I have a couple'a ways, though neither are true /vr/ related, merely vidya related. A year or so ago I created these XBox Live Achievement goals for working out. I use them (up to 190 points myself) and would like to share them.

Same here. If anything, I have about ~40 saved threads from the first week or so I was home, chock-filled with geeky retro loving goodness. Discussions, not pissing contests. Trips down memory lane, not "my games were better than yours". Sharing stories of challenging times, not "oh man I beat everything all the time I am a god gamer and you just suck since you didn't beat etc etc". Much good posting and reading.
