What's a good usb nes controller clone that I can use for legitimately purchased games?
I'm trying to avoid dropping 60 dollars on a nes classic.

that was sure fucking hard. Not even being a dick, it really was. There's 1,000 different SNES controller clones, but barely any NES clones.

For what it's worth, I use https://www.amazon.com/Controller-Gamepad-Joystick-Gamestick-Raspberry/dp/B01MYUDDCV/ref=sr_1_4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1547198426&sr=1-4&keywords=innext+snes

Not an NES controller, but it's perfect for every system up until the analog era.

Why would you want a clone of the worst controller? Get an SNES style controller; they're infinitely more comfortable and useful for more than a single system.

I use pic related on my laptop. The d-pad on it can get pushed in pretty deep and it's loud as fuck, but it feels good to use.

Just get the NES classic. It's going to go for way more than $60 after it sells out since it's been discontinued.

You can use that adapter for any controller that uses the Wiimote port, so it also works for SNES Classic controllers and all Wii controllers that would normally connect through the Wiimote.

>> No.5289536

Right, but I don't really plan on using snes classic or other wiimote controllers. I was just looking for a cheap alternative. Maybe at some point I'd get the two player port one.

Skip NES controller. They didn't stick with that design for a reason, they are only good as decoration these days.

Get iBuffalo SNES controllers, they're like $15 and feel almost identical to the real thing with the only noticeable difference being that the controller is slightly lighter.

I bought an Wii-mote USB adapter as soon as I got the SNES Classic just in case I wanted to use it on my PC.

What's the difference between getting a real SNES controller and hooking it to my PC through an adapter, and getting a SNES clone and hooking that to my PC?

What are the pros and cons of both?

I know I'm overthinking this rather harshly, but I want to make the best decision I can make.

Adapters will always introduce some sort of delay.

>> No.5295773

>>5294984
If the adapter is good you won't be able to tell the difference except in the physical feeling of the buttons. The input delay is a vastly overblown problem that you can't actually notice in practice.
