BUY
SELL
TRADE

Last thread 404'd.

Until we get the hang of these threads a little better, just a reminder to please put an email in the email field or somewhere in your post whether you are buying or selling. If you don't want to post your personal email, make a junk one for BSTs only. This solves the problem of trying to get in contact with one another. I also think it's generally acceptable to use names/trips in BSTs so use them at your own discretion. Lastly, if you forget any info, pictures, email, or whatever else in your post, delete it and make a repost. Cheers /vr/os.

Wanting to buy NES games, any really.
Be reasonable with the price, I know what things cost.

Why don't you guys use a spreadsheet on GoogleDocs?

You can share the link and everyone can modify the spreadsheet.

You would each get a personal space where you'd have a spot for:
>games wanted/looking for
>games selling/trading with price or games you would like to share
>messages and offers
>your email/skype

How does that sound?

Not how we do things in /toy/, which is where this type of thread came from. It keeps it part of the board, and less of a fringe thing.

Alright then. Just throwing out some ideas.

I just thought it would be a good idea to have a personal spot in which you could update the information live.

You wouldn't need to copy-pasta in every thread if you have a long list.

Plus, if people want to make an offer you could directly see it in your spot instead of browsing all the thread for a reply or using CTRL+F. Also, sometimes people reply to the wrong post, so having you own spot would get rid of the problem, or at least there will be less people mixing up things.

But if you think you don't need a spreadtsheet and as long as everything works fine, then, by all means, do what best suits you.

Someone make a site to keep track of transactions for future reference, this way we avoid any scammers

Also, looking for Pokemon Red/Blue

I've bought many many things from /toy/ BST threads, and feel that keeping it strictly on the thread (and moving to email when interested in purchasing/selling an item) is quite efficient. I didn't know /vr/ had BST threads (unless they're a new thing, in which case, I fully support it).

have they been successful on this board yet, or are they fairly new?

We have them in /cgl/ too, and they usually go pretty well. Use paypal for payment. Priority Flat rate shipping is awesome if you're in the US. You do have to use special boxes (you can get them for free at post offices), but it takes 3 days max to get anywhere and comes with tracking. Also, each box is a set price so you don't need to worry about weighing them.

So, I have the following japanese GB games:

DQ Monsters 2 Coby (Busted, it's a throw-in)
The first Medabots game
A YGO Game
A Hamtaro GBC game
A game I'm not sure on by banpresto (I believe it's a monster raising game of some sort).

Make an offer if you're interested. I can take pics later tonight/tomorrow. I'll be monitoring the thread. I also have a Dreamcast for parts/if you want to fix it. It needs a new laser and a new CMOS battery, but I did replace the controller resistors that broke.

Things I'm looking for: a NES cartridge door, and busted/for parts original GBA SP's (frontlit). I need the light for a GBC mod.

I've bought and sold one thing so far. But remember, existing for two weeks on /vr/ means it's existed for more than like 1/4th of it's lifespan.

As far as me, I don't have a lot to sell, but I'm looking for NTSC-U Genesis, Game Gear, Sega CD, Game Gear and Dreamcast games. Also considering buying a master system or adapter, a Japanese Saturn, and a Saturn Lightgun.

Oh, and looking for certain GB games, particularly Final Fantasy Adventure.

Here's an example doodle of what /toy/ BST threads typically feature. Along with the photo, include a text list of the stuff you're willing to sell. Setting your own price will get people who don't like to haggle, to buy.
