I like the colored cartridges the best, The World is Not Enough is blue, at least on my copy. Now, Goeman Mystical Ninja, there's a game I wish I had back, sold it back in the day. I never got anywhere in it, but I remember it being very Ocarina of Time-like in certain play mechanics, and who knew it still can't be emulated properly.

The N64 is underrated by PlayStation babbys.

"arcade"

This word can only be stretched so far.
>no coin door or mech
>no arcade controls
>no arcade hardware
>LCD but playing games not designed for it

I was almost with him until the end. To go that far and not install actual joystick and buttons seems pointless.
>donated the monitor
If you're going to this much trouble go find a CRT. Any CRT. Unless you're planning on playing modern fighting games then a low-lag LCD is acceptable.

Still waiting on someone to do this kind of project right. Maybe I'll have to do it myself.

It has nothing to do with ess oh why. Most 18-24 year olds don't know squat about power tools, straight lines, creating a plan or how to do basic math. Most kids enrolled in a college don't have the income to piss away, and building something like this from scratch will cost hundreds of dollars, and hours of time or it will look like dogshit. There are power tools involved, and though I don't find them too terrifying, others who have never used a circular saw or a radial arm saw can and should be terrified. It isn't about the color of their hair or some other superficial tell that they shouldn't be anywhere near power tools. It is about available time, income and space. I have friends in their 40s who I wouldn't trust with a drill, let alone a circular saw. I know this because I was the guy who they called with questions, and when the questions start with "How long of a screw do I need" you know you are in for a long talk. To do something like this right you need clamps, straight edges, tape measures (Must know how to read a tape measure too) saw horses and a few other tools. Screws aren't cheap, and you can go through them fast. One wrong cut can mean that you need a whole new sheet of plywood.

I don't trust most adults with power tools. The people that I could think would construct something like this well have little interest in playing video games. There is an odd intersection of skills that allows something like this to happen and look well, and it is rare.

PS2, GCN, and original Xbox are retro at this point. Get over it. Game design in that era has much more in common with that of previous generations that it does with the gens that followed.

Also there are still plenty of good games being made for current-gen platforms and damn near everything Sega ever did was garbage.

I wonder how the fuck people even found this post in the first place. The blog is practically dead with barely any posts before this one.

Last time I saw this image the guy had abandoned the blog but it appears he suddenly came back in 2017 as if nothing had happened. And everything else seems to be useful advice so I think he is legit. But it's weird because this image has certainly been shared a whole bunch and yet there's barely any comments on the post. I wonder if he disabled comments.

Speaking of comments though, here's one that'll really trigger /vr/:
>Congratulations on one of the best tutorials I've ever seen regarding Game & Watch desassembly and maintenance. And you know what? I simply don't give a shit if that crappy signature was from this Miyamoto or whoever (BTW, who's this Miyamoto?): when I buy a Game & Watch, the first thing I see is if it is in perfect condition, with no scratches (mainly in the upper plate!) or other severe marks. A G&W signed by Miyamoto, the English Queen or Obama has, for me, muche less value than a clean one!

It's not the term itself so much as the fact that it's a painfully forced meme that one guy is spamming all around /vr/ hoping it catches on, which is why you hadn't heard it until just a week ago, because it didn't exist before then. He's actually been banned multiple times and he just keeps going.
