I remember finding an old intellivision well into the NES/SMB3 days and hooking it up and being delightfully surprised with how entertaining it still was. I was just a kid not really old enough to even wax nostalgic yet but there was just something simple and clean about it.

The Intellivision's version of Donkey Kong was made bad on purpose to benefit the Coleco(Connecticut Leather Company). I think the Colecovision was technically superior, but not by a ton. Both stomped Atari at the time.

That's a colecovision, not intellivision. I had both systems (and the Atari 2600 adapter, although the only Atari game I had worth playing was California Games).

All great systems

Intellivision > Colecovision > Atari (in terms of games

Coleco > Intelli > Atari (in terms of what it was capable of).
