I decided to play re2 after a very long time, so I did Leon A scenario first. This playthrough reminded of how shitty Leon A is. Absolutely fucking nothing happens, Leon is just kinda there.

I forgot that Mr.X doesn't show up first and I was pretty disappointed about that.

Also I kinda realized he kinda misses out alot plotwise, he doesn't even meet Sherry until the end and kinda doesn't give a fuck "Hurr durr Ada"

But if it's someone's first time or you just want a good RE fix like I did it's fine.

Leon dealing with Birkin, while Claire handles Mr X is kinda lame. Thematically, it feels so much better for Birkin to be going after Sherry rather than just finding some random idiot to chase. Plus, Birkin had a real goal of finding someone to implant his eggs into and spawn. The others were incompatible, so they just chest-burst out of them before they're grown.

In Leon A I can't remember why he's even going after Leon. Also, I remember that Mr X is going after the sample, and in Leon B, it's because Ada snatched it from Sherry.

What kind of microtrantactions are they planing? Cosmetic stuff, weapon upgrades, unlock new characters, infinite ammo. Probably the extras, like Hunk, Extreme Battle and Tofu will be purchasable-only dlc.

I'm pretty sure most later media treat Leon B as canon. IIRC,
- Umbrella/Dark Side Chronicles
- Operation Raccoon City
- Resident Evil Outbreak

show that Leon fights Mr.X and knocks him into the molten metal pool.

Also RE6 shows that Sherry was infected by Birkin (she has regenerative powers), which only happens in Leon B.
