Looks fake to me. The label is completely square rather than having rounded corners, and is a bit slanted. Though you can't expect perfect quality control with bootlegs Seems like you can see the glue used to place the label on coming out from underneath a bit too, so it's probably not a sticker.

Also it looks kind of like someone just spray painted a cart black. it's really shiny, and looks smeared a bit in the recess that says nintendoGAMEBOY.

Order from a shopping service like TaobaoRing or Yoybuy. Taobao only allows Chinese addresses to ship to, but shopping services will ship it to you for a minor markup.

To contribute, here's some of the curaaazy shit I've found on Taobao or otherwise.

I have that flash cart, but it's a bigger edition that uses standard SD cards. Never had filenames scramble like that...

I didn't know about the reboot thing, though. I always used the L+R menu and always lost save files. I thought I didn't patch the roms properly, but I guess I should give it another try.

Wish they'd give you some manual for that thing. I only got some sheets with bad explanations on how to use the software.

Have some multicarts and unlicensed Sachen games.

None of the games in the 7-in-1 are color despite saying GBC all over it. The blank one is a 34-in-1.

The shipping depends on how heavy the stuff is. Lots of clothes will be high shipping, lightweight pirate carts will be low shipping. No real return policy, but usually the stuff you get from it will be in working order/look like the picture. I've heard very few complaints from /cgl/
about any receiving items being shit, but size miscalculations and other minor nitpicks. Again, these should not apply to you buying bootlegs. The only issue I've found is that Google Translate is retarded, and you will have to think outside the box finding games you want. Famicom QBoy and any Sachen game are still elusive for me, although I've found quite a few multicarts with Somari, Kart Fighter, and AV Bishoujo Girls, no single carts though.

That's because it was designed primarily for use as a Slot-2 DS piracy solution, it was one of the first available on the market back when you had to have a Slot 1 dedicated card to bypass the security or mod the DS firmware. It worked fucking perfectly and the company making them managed to support the little thing well past it's lifespan, they released game specific patches all the way up to Soul SIlver and Heart Gold. The GBA support was just an added bonus, there is no card based solution that has ever worked for GBA games without slowdown, the norm was shit like the F2A, worked perfectly but obviously had the same kind of memory restrictions as an actual GBA cart, you could only fit 4 normal sized games on even the larger models.

tl;dr, it's a fine bit of kit, you weren't using it for the intended purpose and the thing predates Vista you can't bitch.

I don't think it was primarily for DS game booting, if it was then why sell the Slot1 device separately?
I remember booting some HeatGold from supercard alone after my R4 clone broke. Thankfully I had modded my DS firmware before it did, so I didn't need another Slot1 device to boot DS games.

Because firmware modding the fat DS was a ten second job, believe me I paid top dollar for that thing when it came out, it was always intended to run DS games. Nobody in their right mind would use something as slow as SD card storage to run GBA games, nor bring out a device intended to do such at a time when you could get a F2A which would do the job much better for a fraction of the price.

>> No.537827

>Nobody in their right mind would use something as slow as SD card storage to run GBA games
You do realize the GBA games didn't run from SD flash, right? Supercard loads the rom into it's own memory and plays it from there. It had writable memory somewhat slower than what GBA ROMs had. It's not even possible to run GBA games from memory as slow as SD flash.

I remember buying a PSX Pokémon bootleg as a teen, thinking I'd get to play Pokémon Stadium without needing a N64...

Instead I got this awful whack-a-mole game with equally awful controls. And I think the sprites were from some Pikachu .gif sets that were popular on the Internet back then.
