Picked up a box of stuff at a yard sale and it had a Shining Force cartridge (Sega Genesis). I don't have a genesis so I listed it on eBay for $20 and it sold instantly. I should have asked more

I picked once a GBA sp with emerald for 10 euros(sold it for 40) and a french n64 (still waiting a for a RGB mod) with the box for 30 euros about 3 years ago before all those /vr/ meme buying and jacking up the prices.

I cannot even found /vr/ items in garage sales/flea markets without an absurd price

I found a commodore Vic 20 inbox, manuals and cords for 10 buckaroonies. I'll post pic later, never had one grew up with NES.

I find stuff all the time. Got a CIB SNES for less then half that a couple months ago. Almost don't bother with anything not at least boxed these days.

About 1-3 years ago I was at the garage sale, a guy had Master System with controller and Sonic for 10$. I haven't bought it, don't know why, still hate myself for passing on such an occasion.

I got a 486 mainboard for DOS-related stuff with 16mb of 72pin EDO and an Am486DX2-80 for a dollar that apparently didn't work.
Lack of identifying markings meant no manual until I dumped the firmware with a chip programmer to find the model. Turned out the config jumpers were randomly rearranged and after fixing that it booted right up.

Just bought a complete and legit copy of All Night Nippon Mario Bros. for 50 bucks.

A Genesis averages $30~40 online if you for a Model 1, Model 2 consoles go for $20 or less especially if you find them at a flea market.

In the last decade all I've found at my local one in rural area was non retro ps2/3, xbox1/360, gc/wii. I guess that's a lie, I saw a boxed 2600 with only about 75% of the box still intact for $180 lol.

I had good luck at a pawnshop 6 months ago an hour away from home, had a snes needing power jack for $5. It was filled with roach exoskeletons when I opened it up.
