I don't watch football but I wanted to try this. I can't ever score a goal, whoever I give the ball to gets tackled really fast. Is there some trick to it?

I meant touchdown. Like I said, I don't watch football but I heard this game is good even if you don't.

Run the ball more than passing. For some reason the AI in that game has a harder time reading a run than a passing play. So run more and pass less. Also bribe the ref's only when you will gain an immediate benefit like if you need that 1st down.

Only a few offensive plays really matter
>Deep Go
>Shuttle left and right
Exactly one defensive play matters
>blood blitz
Bribe when in a tight spot and make good use of your Nasty audibles each half

I kinda wish the robot team wasn't so bad but i should probably git gud I guess

The same trick to all mutant league games is to kill the opponent. I mean it's the main mechanic to that game which differs from all other sports titles at the time.

I never played it myself living in Europe but it seems good. Would it be the sort of game normies would still play today or is it? If so why did EA never bring it back apart from PSP port, nobody can have too much fun in their games?

There's literally a new one right now what

It's pretty damn good too.

No because normies only like normal serious sports games. MLF would be too weird for them and since it is a football game its too much sports for the majority of the hardcore gamer nerds. MLF is one of my favorite Genesis games but I can actually see why EA would do nothing with the franchise.

It's ok, original is still better for 2 player

I just play Mutant League Hockey instead. I greatly prefer hockey to football.

Dope, I just won my first game, 100 - 0 against The Whiners playing as the Maniac All-Stars. So yeah, I won an easy game using one of the best teams against the worst team... but I was actually losing all my games against the Whiners using the All-Star teams before, lol.

There's a unofficial sequel for PC, PS4, Switch and Xbone called Mutant Football League.

Nice OP. I just played it last night too and won 86-0 vs the convicts as the galaxy aces but doing what we recommended you do should even allow you to beat the tougher teams too. I like the game a lot and its too bad we didn't see more MLF or Hockey games from this franchise. They could have did a lot with the concept.

I played mlf and mlh back in the day and the novelty soon wore off. Just stuck to the dual madden/nhl cart
