>> No.5132131

Say what you will, but no Crash or Spyro makes this a shit purchase. If they got Tekken 3 on there, which means they somehow got through the licensing maze for the Gon character (that's literally the only reason it's not on the PS Store, seriously), then Sony could open their wallet for licensing royalties for Crash and Spyro or whatever. Activision is already a money-grubbing collectively biased publisher, but this thing would be much more popular with Crash or Spyro, at least one of the two.

Also, I get why Twisted Metal is on there; it's the first game of the franchise, so it's a classic, but Twisted Metal 2 was a much better game. Hard-pressed normies are gonna be laughing at TM1 for how primitive and establishing it was before it finally got improved by TM2.

Destruction Derby makes sense, the first one is considered the best. They probably wanted to add Wipeout instead but couldn't bother spending one dollar on music license since this is as low-effort as it can get (why not Rollcage?).
The others are there for brand recognition, both terrible games.

That Japanese list looks decent at least.

Also remind me again what the good version of RE1 is. I always get the versions confused. There's the orginal, then the one that restores auto-lock-on aiming and makes it less frustrating, and then the one with the remixed shit tier music. Which one is Director's Cut?

pay for emulation for the 100th time, goy!
For real though, shit like this is for casual normalfags who are too high-time-preference to even bother downloading isos and installing an emulator. It's not for /vr/ people (and anyone on /vr/ or /v/ who buys something like this should just kill themselves). It's for 30 year old boomers to see pop up in their amazon feed and say "yep, FF7 was a good game *sips*" and make some spur-of-the-moment purchase, mess around with it for a few days for a dose of nostalgia, and then never play it again.

As much as I love PS1, Sony is cheap and bad at negotiating, so they just settle for scraps. They don't make their own games, so they had to pay companies to license out games and THIS is the best they could get. This is Playstation All Stars Battle Royale all over again.

funny thing is I can't imagine people using the tank controls with classic RE, so the release is kinda of a waste besides getting more copies in circulation.

fuck including shitty ports like GTA, though. the game set should include games that were iconic on the onsole in question, not inferior ports of games that everyone played on other consoles/media.

>if you compare it to what is out on the Snes Mini.
that is just not fair, while the SNES mini's library had omissions it was almost all good to great games. Compare it to the NES classic library which IMO had about 20% fodder(arcade ports) in its library and is still better because it manages to get most of the must haves.
