I would go with this or something from Toejam & Earl.

Actually, I have to go with Ecco. The atmosphere is unbeatable and it did things that still haven't been replicated to this day. Nor are they likely to be considering the current state of gaming and the market thereof.

The SNES has absolutely nothing that can compare to it and it's hard to find a game anywhere else otherwise that can.

Be warned, it's not easy.

It was better than the SNES in a lot of ways.

People forget that Sega had a better market share in the states than Nintendo did for years. It just sold horribly in Japan and to the Japanese that's all that matters at times.

Sega held an 11% market share the majority of the time in Japan. Nintendo held almost everything else.

Strider is the best game, its not my favorite but its a perfect video game. The entire game is a story of one ninjas takedown of an entire empire its pretty badass. I don't really have a favorite by strider is a damn awesome video game. Being from the Cold War era of scary commies makes it so much better too.

My nigga. So sick of fucking Sonic dominating every Genesis / Mega Drive thread. I didn't grow up with the Genesis but bought one four or five years ago and I've enjoyed finding hidden gems, but the Sonic games are pretty low on my list of enjoyable games as somebody who was late to the game, there's so many better titles for this system.

Fuck, Sonic isn't even the best platformer made by Sonic Team, Ristar shits all over any of the Sonic games.

I generally dislike answering "What's the best" type questions. Since the answer is ultimately unknowable for something like this, where the library of games is massive, and the answer is subjective as well.
