The 1st one was amazing but the improvements of the 2nd one made it the best one in the series. After that, it's been a downhill.

I played the absolute shit out of this game

Did anyone else find a bug in one of the levels, there was a halfpipe I went off of and just shot straight into the sky while constantly getting points for like 15 minutes

Anyone else play the GBA games? Fucking god-tier

First 2 were amazing. The 2nd is the best in the series. The rest are unplayable with the exception of "Underground 2" I sort of really love that game

My copy of this is the only game of mine that stood the test of time, I have broken jewel cases and scratched cds with missing manuals, but everything is flawless. If I had a plastic wrap machine I could totally convince the vga that it's never been opened

One of my favorite games of all time, seriously, i replay this like every year, and i never get bored of playing this.

Not a long time ago i got the Xbox 1 remake of this game (i was looking for that one a long time ago, since the Xbox 1 wasn't a popular console in my country, buying Xbox 1 games here is a pain in the ass), and it's totally worth it if you are a fan of the TH series, it even comes with the TH1 levels and some extra levels made by Treyarch, but the level design on those levels is just... werid, and they don't play very well, but anyways, it's still a good deal if you can get your hands on it.

THPS is one of the main reasons I dropped out of high school. My friend and I would ditch final period to go get more THPS time in. We eventually started to ditch at lunch, then at our first break (after 2nd period). By that time we realized THPS (along with drugs, real skating, and girls) were much more important than our futures, so we didn't bother going to school at all.

I tired playing thps4 on pc using x360 controller(using analog), it works but d-pad works much better

tony hawk 4 for xbobx 1 is still a really great game. Adding your own songs to the game made it that much better (not trying to imply the soundtracks werent awesome).

Hells yeah, TPS2 was my "go to" game for a good chunk of my childhood.
Thinking back, I didn't seem to notice just how tiny the draw distance was.

Also, not /vr/, but has anyone else here played the new Pro Skater HD? The physics are glitchy as hell for me

although some of the later ones were good, tony hawk 2 was the best and still is to this day. the levels were done perfectly, it wasn't to ridiculous, and the secrets were so much fun to find out.

I fucking love Tony Hawk games. It was the first game I ever got into when I was younger, and I'm pretty sure they're what got me into gaming in general.

You see, I wasn't good at any games. My brother would always kick my ass at every turn, be it Mario Kart or Duck Hunt or whatever game we may be playing at that time. Except for Tony Hawk, that is. I took to it quickly and it was the only game I played for a year or two. I excelled where he never could.

One day we played together, and I beat him. That day I knew that there was something I could never be beaten in.

THPS3 PC is probably my favourite.
For 1+2 I only had the n64 versions, so I was never terribly impressed by them.

So, should I bother buying the HD remake on the PSN, or should I just get the originals? Keep in mind I grew up with Pro Skater 1 on the N64.

THPS was the epitome of my early teenage years. I played fucking every single one I could get my hands on up to THUG2 and American Wasteland. THPS2 still remains one of my favorite games. Me and my brothers didn't have a memory pack, so we just got good enough that we could quickly unlock all of the levels for multiplayer within an hour or so,

The first day of 1st grade, I brought in my Gameboy Color. THPS2 happened to be in there. I played it under the desk, and we had it where it was like, 6 desks connected to make a table, you know? You have Ride. You are a true Tony Hawk fan. I have THPS1 for the N64, 2 for the PS1, 3 for the PS3, 4 for the PS1, Underground for the PS2, Underground for the GC and I do have American Wasteland for the PS2, but it doesn't really work. As a long time fan, I can say it was fun to watch the series grow over time. It blew my mind when Underground was introduced and had bigger levels, walking and all that.

No, 3 is the best. 3 added the revert, which freed up the player to chain ground tricks after verts while keeping the manual that was introduced in 2. THPS3 is the series at its most pure and not a single game afterward topped it because there was nothing more worthwhile to add to the mechanics and nothing could be taken away without removing a piece of the core gameplay.

2 is the 2nd best in the series, but since it doesn't have the revert it will never beat 3.

I normally would have had no interest in a skating game. But I happened to see an ad for it and was kind of shocked at how fast the game looked and how high you could jump, it just looked really action packed and fast paced compared to what I would imagine a skateboarding game to be like (e.g. Skate). So glad I made the decision to buy it, I ended up being a faithful fan at least up until the first THUG.
