Also, announcing your report is against the rules, enjoy your ban.

all the time! And when I discovered the CI cheese, with the Slayer fly-by-wire rocket, I'd thought there was no cheese and I felt like i'd discovered it myself!
I felt I'd discovered SO many things in PD myself, for example the Bombspy on Chicago which makes the cheat easier, the Phoenix on Area 51 rescue, the Crossbow in the G5 Building, so many things. This game really rewards you if you snoop around.
did anyone else go on Detstar?

that chilled beat is so relaxing. I love the music for the Institute Defense level as well, that's the shit.

Anyone else aware of the "uncompressed" PD and Goldeneye themes? how they would've sounded had the N64 had better audio capacity https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ud16_ptL90Y Runway is pretty cool.

n-bombs are a master craft of design.
I can't think of a more perfectly annoying weapon/utility, especially for multiple people to use at once.
The sound, the visual, the effect.
Rare is the best.

I think it's been over 5 years, maybe longer and I can still hear that fucking noise overlapping and all the gun droping/pickup noises. Fuck

This is unironically one of my favorite stages in gaming.

The stage starts off with a cutscene that honestly looks like an endgame cutscene, and then all of a sudden, everything goes to shit. Playing through the game normally, you likely walked around Carrington Institute between missions to talk with your associates and practice using weapons. The Carrington Institute was your home. And then this stage comes along, and fuckheaded aliens and fuckheaded humans are storming the place, trying to kill your friends, and destroying the only thing a secret agent has to call home. You feel an intense aggression when fighting against the attackers. This was the one place that you had to decompress between hard missions, and they decided they wanted to ruin that. This mission feels extra personal, not just for you, but for Joanna.

Add on top of that, that the music is a faster, intense remix of the song that played when you casually walked around the Institute. And the very end of the mission ends, with Joanna being captured, along with a "Mission Complete?" theme. It's creepy as hell, and it's reflected in the mission debriefing that the crew doesn't know where Joanna is. As the next level starts, the mission briefing isn't an official delegation from Daniel, but Joanna waking up and trying to piece together exactly what the fuck just happened.

It's 64-bit kino.

Fucking 'a man. The crossover of "the menu is now the game" blew me away - as you say, the narrative device became part of the plot. I loved it as a teen, but never elucidated my feelings as well as you just did.
