Another thread up about it, but honestly Gain Ground. It's damn fun, both genesis and mame versions.

I'd say shadowrun on genesis. Not really a "hidden gem" but I feel it never got as popular as it could have.

While well known, I'd almost include the lion king on genesis as it was skipped by older gamers for being a kiddie disney game. It's damn good and actually a difficult game. I had to play this for my niece when she was like 4-6 years old because she wanted to watch the lion king game but it was too difficult for kids.

I feel like Lucky Luke for ps1 fits here, it was a really fun game with a pretty unique setting for games at the time.

Cool Spot set the trend for fluid animated sprites in Western platformers. It was the progenitor for Genesis Disney games and Earthworm Jim. No underrated at all.

Yoyos puzzle park is good for those that like Taito style arcade platformers

I don't know why the movie Wargames only had games based on it decades later but both of them are good and so is this one

Speaking of which, this was a decent 3rd person adventure game that those characters cameo'd in. It got poo-poo'd by the gaming press when it was new, but it's actually a pretty damn decent game, especially for a Dreamcast launch title.

Best Street Racing franchize ever.

For a Wipeout knockoff, this was actually pretty damn good. Fun fact: The soundtrack of this game was also used for the Saturn pack-in demo disc "Bootleg Sampler". .

Also a surprisingly good Racing game for the Saturn. This was "Touge King: The Spirits" in Japan and also had a sequel there (although not realeaced in the US). It was the main competitor to the "Touge MAX" series on Playstation.

This game isn't good...it's actually very bad. But the strange thing is that this game is such a trainwreck that it's so bad it's good. It's kinda like the video game equivalent of watching "The Room". Still very playable despite its many flaws. Essentially you fight lab apes in a run down building....for reasons that are never really explained.

I wish there were more racing game RPG's like this one. Certainly unique. If you have a Japanese PS1/PS2, this is definitely one to get.

Say what you want (and you'd probably be right), but even in it's simplicity, this is a pretty decent game...just don't pay much for it. I actually have one for every Sega home console except for my Dreamcast and Game Gear. Yes, there was even one on the Saturn.

This forgotten gem on the PS2 is certainly worth owning if you're a fan of the Shutokou of Kaido battle series. Imagine those mixed with closed circuit racing, and that's essentially what this is.

This game is a must for all racing sim fans with a PS2. It can be had at any secondhand games store for next to nothing now. You have no excuse not to have this game if you don't already. A damn shame there was never a sequel.

Of all the versions of this licenced game, I'd have to say that the SMS version was the best.

Another fine licensed game. This one is a point-and-click. A must for any fan of the show, it was voiced by the actual cast.

The amount of detail given to the city streets was awe-invoking back in it's day. Bizzare had to change some things for legal reasons, but not everything It was a hell of a thing to be able to free roam the areas and look around at the various businesses and sights and see the little photographic details left pixelated in the game...including logos, addresses, and phone numbers of local businesses.
