I don't believe you have to be depressed to enjoy desolace. It's not necessarily wanting to "watch the world burn," it's just a particular aesthetic that's very comforting. It's a similar feeling to imagining ruins on an overcast countryside that have grown over. It's just peaceful and nice. Same with some cemeteries.

Israel seems to be doing their very best to cause a catastrophe as they can't stand that their terrorist proxy forces have failed to destroy Syria and that their Zionist policies are finally failing. Back in 2015 Turkey, a NATO ally, shot down a Russian jet. USA threatened a full ground invasion of Syria recently if Russians/Syrians decided to finish the job in Idlib and finally take out the terrorists there. There are only so many "misunderstandings" that can happen until we find ourselves in the midst of WW3, only this time the players have nukes and the end result will be M.A.D.

And if you think it's "impossible" for us to nuke each other, we already came literally an inch away to destroying each other during the cold war. We've only had nukes for just over 70 years and there have been far too many close calls for comfort. With the psychopaths that run governments it's literally just a matter of time.
