The D&D arcade titles were fun, and I was an avid tabletop player at the time.
Knights of the Round was pretty good too, and in that one, there were more pronounced benefits to leveling up.
Gauntlet and it's sequels were pretty good too, even if they were a bit hack & slash. WOuld anyone consider Xybots an RPG-esque an arcade RPG? What about Xenophobe?
