Everyone rants and raves at how hard the hammer bros were in the original SMB. They were all babies who were too afraid of them so they stand still hoping for them to get in a better position. They usually spawn in a good spot so it shouldn't be too hard to avoid hammers.

yes I know they start following you. Which is why you need to fight your urge to go slow and get out of there as fast as possible. Otherwise (in the case of meeting 2)you get stuck in a loop where one of their hammers keeps you from killing or dodging the other.

Come on, the one at the end of Elecman's stage is an ass

First the jumping pattern is random as fuck, so you're going to get hit for like a third of your health, which is basically a lost life since you need all the health you can against Elecman.

Second, if you stay on the ladder (yeah idiotic, but everyone always tries it the first time around) then you'll get hit, and sent back down.

Yes you can freeze him but why would you be doing Elecman's stage before Iceman?

It's hard to gauge difficulty in Terranigma because the level scaling is really broken; a single level can make a huge difference in damage input. Most people get to Bloody Mary at a particular level range where they only do 1 or 2 points of damage per strike. If you step out of that range with a single level up, she's as difficult (or as easy) as the rest of the bosses.

I'm talking about standing beneath one of the spikes on his side instead of standing directly underneath him when he appears. You can just slide under the balls when they move towards you and then jump over them when they move again. For some reason, being slightly to the side instead of directly under makes them move in a way that won't touch you if you slide at the right moment. It's easy to do and it works every time. Only thing left is when he appears on the bottom left and that shit is easy to avoid.

I would argue that this guy IS the hardest boss in Lttp. Not because the movements and attacks are complex but because you fight it at an early part of the game where you don't have a lot of health, you don't have lots of bottles and weapons to use, and when you fall off the side his health resets while you can slowly lose health from taking an occasional hit.

Trinexx with no magic

You can't hit him with a sword, you'll always get electrocuted. Instead, you should hit him from afar with a projectile weapon. You should have a boomerang early on, even a shrub will do the job. That's pretty straightforward to me.

Jesus christ, Trinxexx? He can get like half a shot off before he's dead.

I thought he was fucking impossible as a kid though, because I didn't realize you could hit him with your sword after using a wand on his heads. I always wanded, waited until that part unfroze, and then wanded again. Takes several magic refills and is pretty damned hard.

Seriously? Dungeon 1, then sidequest shit, then 4, then all the sidequest shit you couldn't get before, 2, 3, 6, 5, 7, ganon's tower, gg.

You don't even need to use a single potion to get the Cane of Byrna if you manage your hearts right. Pound down the moles at the entrance, take exactly 8 hearts worth of damage from the spikes, use the Magic Cape to go invincibile until the end, get the 8 hearts in the pots plus the Cane of Byrna, use what magic you have left to get out of the cave.

If you throw a deku nut by him (not at him) he gets frozen and after that he wont attack you. He has the same number of hearts that your character has walking in. That means if you got a bunch of heart pieces he will take more hits but if you go into the fight almost dead he will have low health. But there are two problems with this. One of your hearts is three of his and if you use a healing item so does he.
