Do not pick traps, throwing, first aid. They made some sense in Fallout 1, fallout 2 was more rushed, and there is no use for it.
Never raise any non-combat skill past 120%.
Avoid fineese. There is one enemy that is resistant to criticals - enjoy 0 damage on every hit and 30 hours of gamplay wasted.
Save often in different slots, because of crashes, that override save slot.
Don't pick a thief if you don't want to bother with save-scumming.

Those above are game breakingly bad. As in, so broken you might have to reload at one point.

I just gave you the introduction. If you don't want the game to be too easy, don't read the guides on the exact perks/traits/skills.

Your welcome.

>>5022543
>I never get these threads
not everybody has 10+hours of disposable time per day anymore, to play games so flawed that are bad even now with all the patches. It's good to have somebody to ask. That is what information sharing is about.

Mate, you are a retard.
Kid me played Fallout 2 for literal 60 minutes a day, because that was how much time on PC I got back then and still had fun with it. I didn't even have modem back then nor know-how for searching for walkthroughs back then and still fucking managed. With Barter as one of tag skills. And it was fun to play.
Meanwhile you are pushing some retarded min-maxing and optimalisation bullshitry, not to mention you outright talk about save-scumming. Get rekt.

many just want to talk about the game at hand and the whole question is more of a frame of narrative. "what am I in for?" is framing it on moments and memories about the game, "any advice/tips" is just wanting to talk about game mechanics.

There can be bad versions of these kinds of threads like the "I just played X ask me anything" where it's just OP being such a fag he wants the thread to be all about them.

>> No.5022595

Read the manual and avoid any online tips that tell you to go high agility/intelligence and tag guns/speech/lockpick, unless you want to play with that build. The manual gives you all gameplay and character building tips that you need.

What if I told you not everyone is playing the shittiest build imaginable, aka LK10 Sniper tagged Small Guns?
And even IF you plan to run the most boring build imaginable, you can just use Mutate! by lvl 27 and change now obsolete Finesse (which helped you all the way to lvl 24) and replace it with Fast Shot. Since with Sniper perk you don't need aimed shots anyway, Fast Shot basically allows you to fire three times per turn at this point, while would be horrible without Sniper

Mhm. Try to play a pure thief. Even with 300% in Steal and Sneak, it is impossible to steal without getting everybody hostile. It's even pointed out by the authors in the Cafe of broken Dreams.

>>5022605

One boss is resistant to criticals. Just saying. You can have 300% in unarmed with Mega fist, but you still won't do anything to him, even if you crit in the eyes. You need to Mutate the perk into something else. Which can be pretty tricky, considering how you played. And will involve at least going back to your earlier saves.

All in all, fineese should be avoided.

2. tv like internet has a broader uses than just entertainment as well as the fact how the data is covered their is based on TV just being on, meaning that's gathering data of people that just leave tv's on for background noise or otherwise.
3. why are you getting this work up about being called fat? Or do you just need someone to talk back to you this badly?

That was my first reply, ya dummy. I didn't drag anything out. And since I don't feel like quoting the other two messages, this will be a catch all. Confronting people does not mean anyone got bent out of shape. It's a simple question. One hour of time out of your day is so miniscule that the impression that someone wasted their day is odd to me. 3 hours goes by like a blink when I'm writing up reports. Unless your perception of time is wildly different.

>> No.5023371

>>5023363
how fast time go is irrelevant to how much it impacts you. If you are sleeping right you lose 8 hours out of 24 meaning you have only 16 awake. Work a full time job and that 16 becomes less than 8 in a weekday, factor in traveling, needed shopping like groceries, eating and cleaning/hygiene and it could be as little as 4 hours left in a normal weekday. That means an hour used on a game is near 1/4th of your daily free time lost in a weekday. It's likely why anon called him a fat fuck was because to look at that as not much time implies he doesn't really have much of a life going on. It's why most people seem busy all the time is life keeps you busy. Or at least a life worth living does.
