Your only option nowadays is pretty much Quake Champions, whether you like the F2P model or not, it's the one that has actual human players and if you squint your eyes hard enough it's almost like Q3A anyways

I was a console peasant around the Q3 prime but I have played casually over the last 5 or 6 years. There are a few servers left that have a couple handfuls of people who I assume have been playing for ages. I'd be interested in joining /vr/ organized games on the weekends for a few hours.
