Give me your best, your worst, your strangest, etc.

Lets have some love for the devices we use to play games.

I had a madcatz I won from a magazine for the PS1 back in the day, it looked vaguely like this one but it was green and less curvey.

Shit was actually really nice, had toggles to make the analogs mapped to the dpad so you could always use them. Was fucking wonderful for crash bandicoot 1.

Bought a pair of these last christmas when I was looking to get back into emulating retro games. Absolute pieces of crap- the analogs feel sloppy, D-pads seem sort of "loose" and the D-pad on one of them already busted after about half a dozen side-scrollers. Well, I guess you get what you pay for- they only cost 25€ for the two of them. Too bad all the quality replicas of retro controllers are always sold out in every store in my country.

I had the stripped down version of that controller with no extra functionality. I almost preferred it to the original controller since it had a longer cord and clickier buttons, but the analog sticks felt a bit awkward, which sucked since Ape Escape is my favorite game.

Meanwhile I actually prefer this thing to the original GC controller. It just feels so great.

I have this cool Spider Man PS2 controller. It looks like shit but it feels so nice, and the dpad is godlike. Plus it lights up in the dark. Only downside are the shitty shoulder buttons. But the official controller's shoulder buttons suck too, so it's kind of okay.

The ability to emulate Sony's own PlayStation Analog Joystick by pressing the "Analog" button a second time to reveal a green LED (this was commonly referred to as "Flightstick Mode") provided a less expensive alternative to the FlightStick Analog Joystick and retailed for an average of US$35 compared to the Flightstick's retail price of US$70.
MechWarrior 2, Ace Combat 2, Descent Maximum, and Colony Wars were among the short list of twenty seven PlayStation Flightstick compatible games.

Anyways, that thing was pretty cool even if it wasn't exactly perfect. I found out much later it was supposed to be for Fighting Games, but I used it for Star Fox and it felt pretty awesome.
