I was thinking the other day if any of the old popular multiplayer games still have a player base. The last retro game I played online was Doom 2, but that is because the multiplayer has been modded to hell

last I checked quake2 still had some deathmatch going on on tastyspleen servers

there was some populated quakeworld servers too but it was around the time qhlan 2017 was happening, I don't know about it right now.

I know quake TF in my country is still played by a small closed community but I didn't get to play it because they really didn't really care about new players, they a

The Dreamcast has had something of a renaissance in terms of multiplayer game revival, they've got more than half of them back online and a schedule so all the attention doesn't just go to Phantasy Star Online.

Still need to get Bomberman back on, though.
