You can only pick one to enjoy your N64, which do you choose?

Expansion. The good games had their own save anyway, so I never had the other two. I needed to turn off rumble on my current controller after Rocket League made my fingers puffy and itchy for several days.

Kill Rumble pack
Marry expansion pack
Fuck memory card

>> No.4924746

Considering the expanion pack was made to fix a bug in a shitty game (Donkey Kong 64) and made other games perform worse (Turok 2) I'd go with memory card.

Can't play Perfect Dark's campaign without Expansion Pak, and it can be removed whenever you're not using it, as long as you keep the terminator that goes there.

Memory Pak. I can ultimately live without DK64, Majora's Mask, and Perfect Dark. I can't live without Goemon.

It wasn't made for that.

Wasn't it made as a "solution" to the N64DD failing yet still up'ing what the N64 can do?

They disc drive is irrelevant. They intended for the RAM to upgradable from the start. The fact that jumper pack is removable is proof of that.

No, thats only the case if you use the experimental widescreen and "hires" modes. If you play in the original low-res mode, it runs loads better than it did on original hardware.

Rumble pak. Most N64 games had cartridge saves and those that didn't aren't worth saving.

It was supposed to ship with the N64DD originally. When the addon got canned some games that were developed with the system in mind made use of it.

Reee it's called the "Controller Pak", you poor retard. And that one. A lot of great pre-2000s games (like the Goemons) used that
