to kick this thing off, I got bored and made a zealot (still playing path of diablo but no relevant changes on this end). i finally decided to board the treachery hype train when i found a cuirass and a lem rune in act 3 NM. holy shit, it's fucking awesome.

I swear Nightmare Meph runs are as addicting as fast food. You know you need move on and finish the game and there are better farming spots later on but the sheer ease of it and the rate of green and golds keep me from moving on. I have a problem.

Made that mistake on my HC pally once. Spent my last akara reset and swapped to fanaticism without having a high base damage weap. Thought that they weapons I had would be enough.

Ended up grinding for million years in the countess tower til I could make a Lawbringer. Every single tower run was a near death experience. Multiple sub 10hp moments, thank fuck I had a rockfleece + string of ears to give -24% damage.

As to your whole treachery thing, yeah it's fucking wonderful. Eventually when you don't need it, you can pass it onto the merc and it's still an amazing item to have. Combine that with reapers and you'll be living like a king.

Depends on what build and how many sockets.

Faith works well in every build, Ice for cold, Phoenix or Hand of Justice for fire.

Brand is sexy as fuck to use.

If you can't afford any of the above, Harmony is quite good for a mid range bow. It can also be kept on switch after you find something better, too. That aura is hard to beat.

Mostly standard controls, but I use E/R for my most swapped skills e.g. guided and magic arrow and the Fkeys for lesser things.

When playing HC I run my belt with 2 health, 1 mana and 1 rejuv. The health and mana stay as the number keys but rejuves on Space. I find that to be the best panic button.

One thing I will give D3 credit for is the choice with button hotkeys. I loved having inventory on scroll up and close all windows on scroll down.

You're gonna need some in hell, definitely. Depending on gear and charms, I would aim for 5-600 life, though this is coming from a very long time bowazon player, you may need some more to be comfortable. 750ish maybe?

Works only on the actual physical arrow itself i.e. even the magical/elemental arrows work, but not the extra effects they have like aoe explosions etc

It's harder to get to the highest damage numbers using physical then it is when using cold or fire. You really feel the lack of base damage with the low and mid tier bows.

CB does indeed help. It's why I run gface and gores. You can cheese a little more with Duress.

I also try to get as near 100% crit as possible, too. With critical strike + deadly I can reach around 80-90% effective crit chance, which does help.

You could also try wearing an atmas scarab, too.

The drop calculator in the OP says she cannot drop a Ravenfrost on NM difficulty. For a Ravenfrost on NM your best chances would be Duriel, Diablo, Mephisto then Baal. Hell Andy however does have the highest chances of dropping one of any boss in the game.

Sorry it took me so long to reply. Depends what you need, single target or crowd clearing. Bowazons suck major ass with bosses so I lean toward Critical Strike.

But both skills diminish once you get far enough into them and honestly it's something I've never really cared much about. Just go for a balance if you're super analcreamed about muh diminishing returns.

Paladin centers around using auras that have differing effects, from damage, tank and support options. He also has several holy skills that give buffs or do direct damage. These all go with the melee striking skills, some that rapidly hit targets around you, others that give elemental damage. One of the easiest classes the play though the game with.

Barb is more open ended when it comes to weapon choice, swords, axes, maces and spears as well as some throwing weapons. Hard hitting single attacks, stuns, rapid striking the same target etc. He has a bunch of warcries that give temporary buffs to skills, health, defense etc. He also gets a lot of permanent, passive buff skills that increase resistances, move speed and some others.

Pick your poison. Just keep in mind that the Barbarian will be a far slower character to go through the game with, until you get some decent gear.

Meanwhile, getting through act 1 normal was a bit better than I remember, perhaps because this time I put much less points in Lycantropy and this was ended up with more AR. Getting to lvl 12 was still quite miserable, but after that it was ok.
