In the last few months, I got a bootleg Chinese console with a 161-in-1 cart. I also want the 138-in-1 cart too, but I don't understand that one's breakout board.

Some flightstick from Goodwill for $3 which I hope will work on the 486DX4 for X-Wing, Tie Fighter, and Wing Commander 1+2. Never played those games with a flightstick, and I hear the experience is much better with it. It needs a bit of cleaning.

I am really close to building a J-Win98SE machine. Got a floppy drive, a case fan, and a CPU cooler. Now I really got to figure out if I can partition a 1TB HDD to have 120/128GBs only for J-Win98SE, and maybe partition the rest for XP usage, or does J-Win98SE require a dedicated 120/128GB for its boot drive (no 2nd partition, limited to that amount by Seatools)? If I get a 2nd HDD, does it also have to be limited to 120/128GB as well, or is 120/128GB the absolute maximum Win98 can handle and additional drives are pointless?

My best online classified find in quite a while. I paid $150 for all this. All complete. I dropped everything I was doing to go buy them. I now have a very reasonable TG-16 library. Looking to get Legendary Axe and Blazing Lazers next.

This was already a few weeks ago, and the guy said he had even more Turbo games that he said he found at a garage sale last year for like $150. He said it was about 70 games, some CD games, and some even sealed. I got his phone number, I tried calling him and messaging him on the phone and even through the selling app, but he basically ghosted on me starting the day he said I could come over to check everything out to buy it all. I haven;t heard back from him since. I'm wondering if he realized what exactly he has and just decided to sell it himself for maximum profit. I made it very clear I'd pay top dollar too, literally I was ready to write a cheque for thousands of dollars. God knows what kind of stuff he could have had if he still had like 60 other Turbo games leftover.

$25 for the pair from 2nd & Charles.

It was bizarre, I just went in there on a whim and they had a HUGE stack of Japanese Saturn, Neo-Geo CD, and AES games behind the counter. Well priced, too. No consoles, so I don't know where they came from. You would think someone dumping this kind of stuff would get rid of all of it in one shot, and it's weird that someone who had a big collection of Neo-Geo stuff would take it to a 2nd and Charles of all places, but there you go.

I never find this kind of stuff, and it was weird that when I did, it was at a large chain store.

Haven't bought anything retro related in several years, but I recently emulated Earthbound and it was one of the best games I've ever played

I wanted to get a physical copy just to have because I really value the experience I had, and getting Earthbound was out of the question, so I bought this off of Yahoo auctions for like 20 bucks after international shipping from Japan

I wish I could have luck at these for once. I almost always just run into trash I don't want, or third party garbage like controllers with auto-fire.

Picked up an Ice Blue Gameboy Pocket and a Gameboy Light (the Japanese GB with a backlight) for $30. Haven't found anything else worthwhile in so long it hurts.

>> No.4875667

I know how it is, I go to estate sales all of the time and see worthwhile electronics at maybe 10% of them and that's after I've dug through listings. It's lucky I buy a bunch of other shit so I can find something for me at most sales otherwise I wouldn't go to them. Surprisingly old computers are often overlooked, so I need to make sure to look for retro pc games here on out.

Lots, any mech/gundam game, kuttu ketto, all fighting games, segata sanshiros game, rpgs are good. Then theres the basics from v's recc. Like albert odyssey, nights, dragon force, lunar, dark savior. Also theres a youtube channel that has every episode of sega saturn video magazine. Theres quite a bit to search through.
