It was shit (I heard the sequel fighting game was better) but damn if I wasn't hype when I saw that there was a Ranma video gameof all things right there in my KB Toys.

I was an early weeb and used to buy the comic-sized, photo-reversed translations of the manga at my local comic store.

I never played the SNES games, but as bad as it might be, it can't be as bad as the PS1 game. That one was horrible and there wasn't even cute sprites to look at, it was ugly lowpoly turds. The worst part was the gameplay though.

Yeah I was also a huge anime nerd at the time. I was much more into Urusei Yatsura, but a Ranma fighting game was still a wonderful treat even if it played like ass. I would love to see another. Today's tech could make an incredible one.

Msybe it's that I'm actually a little too old ('74) that I didn't hear video game music when I was really young. The first game I played was when I was 8 or 9 and it was at a diner we rarely went to. So when I then eventually got a computer and NES I didn't have nostalgia or early memories of those kinds of sounds so it has always sounded super harsh as music. On top of all that I am mega picky about music in general anyways. So it's really not that surprising.

I wonder how this game is comparatively.
