Assuming money/availability is not an issue, what /vr/ releated items would you love to get your hands on?

>The 50 Pro’s scaling of 240p material leaves a lot to be desired, but if you combine the unit with an OSSC, you create what is almost undoubtedly the best vintage upscaling solution for 240p games consoles and computers bar none.

https://www.videogameperfection.com/2016/05/25/iscan-vp50-pro/

So really it's only good for sources 480p+ unless you're also going to shell out for an OSSC.

Probably a Sony GDM FW900.

I have some PVM/BVM and some consumer sets and some pc crts. Also I have a 92 inchDLP, Ultrawide 34 inch, 65 inch OLED, 140 inch 4k projector... Still want the FW900 back

I sold my FW900 5 years ago for $400 and still regret it. I only sold it as I thought using a PVM/BVM would be ok. Now after a short while late, a PVM/BVM is not ok and I want my FW900 back. A 21 inch Samsung/Sony CRT just isn't the same.

If I win the lotto I'm going to create an arcade with all the early 80s games I can fit in it. Won't be run for profit so it will exist as long as the money does. Unless people suck and force me to leave it privately in my house.

I love the retro hi-fi aesthetic, so the /vr/ dream for me would be:

>Sega SKC-1000 (full stack, not just console)
>Sega Laseractive
>Commodore CDTV or CDTV-CR
>Extron Crosspoint
>Famicom box
>Super famicombox

Obviously even just any one of these would be amazing though. Does anyone know if of any other retro consoles that come in a similar form factor? Because if so I'll have to add them to the list.

The first thing that came to mind was the R-360 arcade, but something closer that I have room for would be something closer to pic related. Those items are what I've desired for a long time, and no matter how much I save, I can never afford to get any of them. Having saved $1000USD for a good working 20" BVM, and still it is not enough to get one here, and that got wiped out by life, and I'm sure the next time I have something close, I still won't be able to have it, just like Keio and the Aiwa.

>>4827651
I am in the opposite case. I have two FW900s, but I so desperately want 20" or 24" BVMs. I would want to trade, but I've really overused the FW900s thatI can't in good conscience feel it would be fair.

The PSIO without a doubt. The PS1 is my favourite console by far so being able to load up all my games (including expensive JP games which I couldn't afford on disc) with far quicker load times, no worries about disc scratching/rot, and no need to worry about failing disc drives would be the dream to me.

>PVM-20L5
This is my dream monitor. It has 480p comparability and expansion slots like a BVM, but still has S-Video inputs like a regular PVM.

Barring monitors, I'd want one of those Net Yaroze Playstations, if only for those awesome colors.

>> No.4829832

At least one candy cab. A Sega one would be ideal, but many of the Taito and Konami ones are cool too. And obviously plenty of different games (maybe a NAOMI and some older boards) and control panels to use on it.

PVM-20L5s are actually attainable as long as you can pay for them. Pic related is my dream just because of how many hoops it would take to actually get one on this continent.

I'm modest, all I want is a GBA Player for the Gamecube, a Wavebird controller, and more GBA games.
I could even live without the Wavebird if there's some decent controller with a few extra feet of length.

>> No.4837624

>>4837346
Fuck the wavebird, it has pretty bad input lag. Look into the white gamecube controllers they released in Japan when Smash Bro. Brawl was coming out. Their cords are ridiculously long and feel more like the controllers that launched with the gamecube as opposed to the ones that were released with Smash for Wii U

>> No.4837668

>>4837346
The rereleased gamecube controllers that came out for smash 4 had 10 ft cables. I'd assume the new controller for smash ultimate will be the same case. Hopefully they'll manufacture enough to prevent price gouging

Those are usually pretty cheap at arcade auctions, because nobody wants to deal with moving them.
