Hey, sorry it took me long to respond...I left the thread up for a few hours then kind of forgot about it it because I didn't get a response.

I think the virtual boy is in okay condition. I bought it maybe 10 years ago, played it for a sec and it's been in my mom's attic ever since. I imagine it's pretty dusty, but it'll clean up and should still work. I'd have to go over to my mom's and check it out.

The 3D0 is in about the same shape and probably stored within a couple feet of the virtual boy. I'm the original owner of it. I'm talking, I got this fucker back in the 90s when it was new in the box. I haven't played it in years, but I've never had problems with it.

I have a fuck ton of games, but I'm sure they're scattered all over the place.

I don't know what's fair value for any of this. I don't really collect for money, I just like nostalgia and older games.

Also,

Buying: Now that I have a Sega Saturn, I'm looking to buy games for it. I've only bought a few games so far, so pretty much anything is fair game. I'm interested in Japanese versions of games as well, especially ones where the NA version is very expensive.

Selling: Just rescued a SNES Tecmo Super Bowl cart from the clearance section of a local store for two bucks. I'm looking for either a Dreamcast, a Saturn, a PC Engine/Turbografx (would it be a better idea to pick this one from Japan?) or a Wii, which is what i'm actually most interested in.

Whatever the console, must be in good condition (don't need pristine, but at least not obviously grimy and/or faulty), with all the cables and at least one controller. Box optional but lovely.

The original PC engine has one fatal flaw; it has no AC output, only RF. If you want AC on the original model, you are going to need the AV Booster, an add-on for the system.

I would recommend getting a PC Engine Duo if you can afford one of them, as they are equipped to play any CD game(except Arcade CD) right off the bat.(On other models they often require RAM expansion cards which can be very expensive - check the chart for more details)

As for good CD games, nothing can beat Akumajōu Dracula X: Chi no Rondo.(better known as Rondo of Blood) Burnt games can be read, but I'm not sure if this can wear out the lens.

>> No.479819

>>479768
This is true, but they can be very expensive indeed. If the total for a Turbo-Duo(the american version of the PC Engine Duo) plus one of those adapters that would be a better deal, as no adapters exist for playing american Hucards(Turbocards?) on a PCE.

Okay, this RF detail is kind of a deal breaker. If i can find the AV Booster, great, but i kinda suspect it'll be impossible. What about the Core, or the Shuttle? And i guess the Engine Duo looks good too, but i supposed it's hellishly expensive. I'll probably just try to buy it all in Japan though, on a rather distant future, if i can't find a /vr/o with one by sheer luck, screw paying $150 for a retro console.

Ah yes, the Core supports AV. It's not as cheap as the original model, but not too expensive either. The Core has one nice feature; It supports S-Video/RGB unlike the Duo.

If you want CD on the Core, you will need the Super CD-ROM2 Unit. This add-on supports all CDs except Arcade right off the bat like the Duo, but is quite expensive. Getting both the Core and the Super CD-ROM2 will often get more expensive than getting a Duo.

As for the Shuttle, it's pretty expensive, and does not support CD at all. Avoid this one like the plague.

Look, if you want to sell vidya for a fair price, shoot for between 50 and 80% of what the titles SELL FOR on eBay, not what they're listed for. Big difference. By undercutting eBay pricing, you're not certain-ethnic-grouping people out of their money, and not selling yourself into the poorhouse.

Or just sell it on eBay to some neckbearded basementlord buttergolem who will rub it all over his greasy mantits.

Azure Dreams - Good, comes with manual, original case art

RE: Director's cut: Great, manual, original case art.

FFT: Same as above

Warhammer: Grudgebringer: Disc fine, manual is AWOL

Evilzone: Few scratches on disc, everything else fine

Suikoden II: Not sure if I'd give this up, but everything is there; disc, manual and case art still near-perfect.

Lunar Silver Star Story Complete: Comes with leather instruction book, OST CD, and all in good condition.

FF Chronicles: CT sucks hard on this one, FFIV is better, everything is near-perfect, but I wouldn't bother with this personally, just because CT sucks so hard.

Legend of Mana: Manual, case art good, disc has a few lil scratches on it.

Grandia: Perfect condition, manual, case art all good.

RoTK VI: No original packaging, since that's how I got it, but the disc is scratch-less.

SaGa Frontier: Same as above.

P.S: To that Aussie bro who wanted my Star Ocean earlier, sorry dude, I accidentally deleted your mail. I'm still willing to sell it to you.

The SNES games are in great shape, some save files may still be present on the RPGs. No marker or shit like that, although there's some normal light grooves on the label from moving around.

The PSX games are also in good shape, although I may have one or two buffed before sending them out just because you know what a PS2 does to PSX games. SaGa Frontier in particular has a big scratch across the disk, but it plays fine (I did a T260G run just two weeks ago).

I might be selling a modded Saturn, modchip + 50/60 switch. PAL unit, from central Europe (britfags take note, shipping might cost more than it is worth)

How much for those? I'm interested, always low on pads and cables for my saturns.

Anybody got a legit copy of Pokemon Fire Red/Leaf Green or Emerald? My copies of those games went missing, and I'm really itching to play them again after all these years. I could always go play the originals, but not being able to transfer my Pokemon to the newer games kinda kills it for me.

Buy or trade, it doesn't really matter. Don't really want to pay super jew ebay prices for a legit copy though. Fucking chinese sellers flooding the market with bootlegs and causing the price of real copies to go way up.

Email in the email field.

If they're still available, I'd like to see how much you'd let Majora go for (either).

Looking to get rid of this JP 20th anniversary GBMicro. It's the special edition one with the stamp on the back.

Still have the box (some wear) and pouch but no papers.

Throwing in some games too.

Would rather trade but still open to sell. Interested in Mega Man IV and V for the Game Boy. Other GameBoy offers prefered.

Looking to trade to work on my Mega Man collection, particularly the following games:
Mega Man 5 (pristine label is a must)
Mega Man X1 (as complete and good condition as possible)

Many missing Portable/CD-based games/Boxes+Manuals accepted too. Possibly a working SNES. Only non-MM game I can think of right now would be DKC2.

Have plenty of decently valued NES-N64 to trade with like Ogre Battle SNES [currently untested] or Conker, as well as a decent amount of bulk or mid-range games.

This guy here.

I'm looking for Suikoden I so I can complete my trilogy. Wanting mainly to trade, but I can scrape some money together, though that'll take far more time.

Also willing to trade for other PSX RPG games.

Looking for a NeoGeo Pocket (color or b/w; doesn't matter) and maybe a game to throw in.

Let me know what you're willing to take as a trade, or a base price.

I remember hearing about the Kisado.
The Kisado adaptor was not made in Japan, it was made by a Canadian who cleaned out the entire supply of connectors from a sewing machine manufacturer - connectors that just happened to be identical to the HuCard connector in the TurboGrafx + PC Engine.
Seriously, what are the odds?

I'm also looking to buy some other old vidya shit, do we have like a separate forum or IRC chan or something

Not the seller but it says clear as day:

I'm assuming he wants a pretty penny considering MM4 and 5 are kind of pricey on eBay. The stamped Micro is the most valuable next to the Mother 3 one.

I wish I still had my Shantae cart to trade because I've been looking for this Micro forever!

Damn Shantae? I'd LOVE that, but its a little excessive I think. But you are correct; this GBM is more of a collector's item not a first-time "hey I've always wanted to try one out" thing.

I think if I'd have to put a dollar value on it, I'd want more than what people would be willing to pay and I'd feel bad doing that.

Something like this Game Boy Light posted earlier would be cool if it had the box.

30-year old reporting in. I work for a courier service, and haven't talked with my family since I cut ties several years ago. So I think you may want to reconsider that little qualifier of "They're all".

On a secondary note, it's nice to take a break from the more sarcastic and cynical boards (Frequent /pol/ poster, here, just to give context) and take a break to the more laid-back boards like /vr/ from time to time. And the lack of shitposting does make a difference.
