I've always picked Gilius Thunderhead. I assumed he had the longest weapon reach and strongest attack with his lack of magic power.

I don't know about horizontal reach (better than Tyris at least), but he definitely has the widest attack arc.

In the first game, Tyris. Not only does she have the most and best magic(call down lightning like a mini-Thor, make an earthquake, or call in a FUCKING DRAGON!), but her rush attack has slightly longer reach, IIRC.

She definitely has the best dash attack, yeah. I still like Gilius' though for the animation. A fucking dwarf headbutting with a horned helmet is just cool.
