What I love about colorized Game Boy games on GBC is how basic the colorization in. Its like the overwhelming color is white but its been slightly touched with basic colors. It reminds me of one of those paintable glass/plastic things you could paint with watercolors as a kid, a very soft and light palette.

I agree, but I actually prefer the Super Game Boy coloration in Pokemon games. It's just 4 colors, but they did some really good job coloring each town and area according to their name, as well as each individual monster.
I especially like Celadon, it's dreamy.
