There's also other Lufia for GBA and isn't bad. You get to play with a 30-something old Dekar AND the game has a good job system to customize your characters at will, plus the Ancient Cave is now more accessible.

Besides Dekar and it taking place in the same world as Lufia II (which is mostly unexplorable this time around), there's nothing to link it to Lufia though. Not even made by the same team.

It's also really sloooow. Battles drag on forever because of the sluggish animations and needless camera zooms. Good music though. Overall it had good ideas but a shoddy execution imo.

Last Bible III for SNES is a cute, colorful SMT spinoff which is quite lighthearted to a point, and then shit gets more serious. Easier than Megaten games usually are, and the demon designs are cuter - not to DemiKids levels but certainly less 'evil'. Recruiting demons is fun and easier, too.

Whole series is Megaten as a traditional swords and magic and kingdoms rpg. The other Last Bible games seem like interesting Gameboy rpgs but I don't feel like clacking through clunky, slow menus like every other nonzelda GB rpg I've tried. Interested in LB2 at least.

This is one of the more overlooked games that got a fan translation.Only the PS1 version is translated and I played it on Saturn but I highly recommend it.

I've beaten LB1 and 2 on GB, the menu systems aren't bad by GB standards, pretty quick even. They are very much GB RPGs though, grind fests that only a Megaten fan could love, but pretty cute nonetheless and great for zoning out and playing.

I played Nakayoshi to Isshou (Nakayoshi and Me) for the retro game gauntlet, it's a NES casual RPG based on the anime magazine for girls. Was surprisingly fun and quite short, maybe 4 or 5 hours. Some real life manga artists get kidnapped and you go to each of their manga worlds to rescue them, including Sailor Moon world. Spoiler: you spend a lot of time in schools.

Fuck me, Monstania is comfy as fuck and adorable. Ideal beginner's tactics rpg but the storytelling's so nicely done and the graphics are lovely throughout I even enjoyed it having more experience in the genre.

Yeah I realize that now, I made a flail that demolished everything in nightmare mode and was already disillusioned and bored with the game. Ahh ouch... yeah I did a yearly pickup and play of the game for almost 7years before I lost my save. Now I play the game for a bit every few years and thats it.s I had so much done and had weapons and armor and pets that could handle the hardest setting. If I did start that all over I would go in with a huge mindset difference. Get a few key pets and just enjoy the world for what it is. Loved fighting for meats and drops and making magic and golems. But with the list I have of games now it'll be awhile before it's back in rotation for me.
