What buttons do you use to run and jump in platformers with a four face button controller?
For me it's X (left button) to run and B (bottom button) to jump so I don't have to move my thumb.

Y for running, B for jumping.

As the Lord intended. Anything else is sacrilege.

I could understand that if you have an attack button set to X but it seems more uncomfortable to have your thumb be vertical like that rather than diagonal across X and B

X is on the upper right, Anon.

Or top, I guess you would say. Y is the one on the left.

Wtf
I thought all Nintendo controllers had the Y button at the top but apparently not

Y is on top of the GC controller, but X is further to the right, like usual.

Objectively this, assuming SNES button configuration.

I don't think any controller has X on the left and B on the bottom. The normal layouts are Nintendo-style (X on top and B on bottom) or Sega/Microsoft-style (X on left and B on right).

Yeah I just knew Nintendo has the B on the bottom but I guess I switched the other two
