This game used to scare the shit out of me when I was 7 or 8, especially THE SOUNDS. Those fucking sounds at the beginning, man. It still gets me a bit when I hear them. And that menu. But it only made me more fascinated with this game, I finished the first one like 4 or 5 times and the sequel (Exoddus) 2 times.
These games had the most eerie atmosphere ever.

goddamnit

I first found out about this game by watching the opening cutscene somewhere, I think it was on a cable channel. I had no idea it was a game untill the sequel came out. Then I picked them both up, and fell in love with a series of games that SERIOUSLY needs a new entry, like NOW.

They took away the edge of screen scrolling, to where it is fluid. The whole walking to the next screen mechanic was kind of part of the game design.

And I'm not asking for a remake, I'm asking for an entirely new game, I know it's not Retro, but I LOVE The other games in the series. The world and cast of characters are just so damned charming.

Here, have some lovable creatures.

They seriously had some of the best character designs ever, the entire world felt so alive.
It's nice to see them back. But their new website sucks ass, I still remember the old one.

Do we know if the remake of Odyssey will have Exoddus's system? (multiple followers instead of just one for example) mite b cool.

Anyone else here got the Art of Oddworld Inhabitants book? Its fuck awesome has a load of concept sketches and art for the scenery, came out before Stranger though so doesn't cover that.
