I do miss the idea of fansites more than any particular case.

It's depressing how easily the Internet has been binded into a bland, corporate-owned standardized cesspool. Wikia is a freaking add-ridden gimp suit for fan-curated content

Sonic HQ/The Mobius Forums

Discovering internet forums in the early aughts as a ten year old will be something I'll always appreciate. Talking with autistic twenty somethings who have shared interests with you is a really, really great environment to learn online decorum in. Upon finding some of my old posts, I do have to say props to preteen me for being a sarcastic shit towards other users and calling Sonic Heroes a glitchy piece of crap. It totally was and is!

GameTalk. I frequented the Super Mario 64, Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life, Sonic Adventure 2, and Spirituality forum.

It's been gone for years, but then a "restoration" project popped up, then was lost. Now, it exists in basically the same state - Gtx0 - and I just visited it for the first time since about 2004.
