Is there a way to play Sega Titan-Video games on SSF emulator? I've seen a guy boot the bios on youtube but i'm not sure how to do it

>> No.4724578

A bunch of shit only people looking for obscurity cred would ever play like pic related the official video game for Maruchan brand ramen or software for a photo booth that could print scratch n sniff stickers

did some quick research
yeah ssf supports st-v emulation, but so does mame

>> No.4725295

>>4725046
Problem is that MAME needs a more powerful pc to run ST-V games smoothly while SSF does not

>> No.4725302

>>4725295
Also ST-V emulation on MAME still has a bunch of graphical glitches, that's why i want to try SSF to see if it is any better

I have a japanese ST-V. Love it. It's a crying shame SEGA never made a shinobi game for it.

This post reads like satire

You need to hold down either shift or ctrl or alt to put SSF into STV mode.
You of course need the STV bios.

also the roms need to be properly named:

MAME is absolute dogshit when it comes to STV emulation. It is missing pretty much half the video hardware and has completely wrong sprite scaling (check the level select cube in Baku Baku, it distorts extremely badly).

Thanks. So far i've tried Groove on Fight and it works, but when i try Soukyugurentai it says "Error on Cartidge" and i can't get further than the title screen of Radiant Silvergun, anybody else has this problem?

>> No.4727504

>>4727442
I got sokyugourentai to run on my mame cab which is running mame 149

>> No.4728629

>>4727442
Nevermind, i just needed to pick the right bios file, so far so good, but i still can't get beyond the title screen of radiant silvergun

>> No.4728701

>>4727442
For most games you need to either fix the rom filenames according to that page, or make sure you use a bios with correct region. STV games came on cartridges, so "error on cartridge" means that the cart doesn't run on that bios.

>>4728629
radiant silvergun has copy protection that ssf doesn't emulate (mame does with some kind of hack, but it is missing 90% of the video effects). That's one game that is pointless to run on STV mode though, since the Saturn version has 100% of the STV version intact, down to having a separate button to insert coins.
