Is it pretty easy to hack? I have barely touched the games it came with but wouldn't mind adding more.

Insanely easy. Hakchi’s current version practically does everything for you.

Mostly good, but arcade games and anything sixth gen and up is hit or miss, not that you'd want to go above fifth gen since they'll eat up all your space. Even GBA games have stutter and sound issues.

Does Hakchi have the ROMs in it, or do I have to download those separately?

Are you retarded? Why should he include ROMs easily available and expose himself to legal trouble?

can anyone walk me through how to get SF2A on it? It's literally all I bought it for

>> No.4708635

>>4707290
Download them separately, just get some giant pack of them from a torrent site and pick out your favorites.

I put some popular recommended games on mine but mixed in some weird ones too. Plok, Uniracers, Yu Yu Hakusko: Tokubetsuhen (I have no idea what's going on but am impressed) and an English translation of Seikan Densetsu 3.

I got one for my brother as a Christmas gift. I only put SNES games on it when I gave it to him but I did try out NES and Genesis emulation, and those worked out really well. Even if you only play SNES games you should still install the Retroarch cores for improved compatibility (a couple games like Star Ocean, DBZ Hyper Dimension and Rock and Roll Racing need Retroarch to run). Eventually I had to stop playing with it and box / wrap it back up, sadly. He has had a great time with it so far though and has been playing a lot of Donkey Kong Country 2 with his wife.

Would connecting this to a Trinitrion G520 via active HDMI to VGA adapter with audio result in worse results than expected? I was scavenging parts for an emulator PC and had came across this by luck.

can you do the "4 save slots with rewind" like the other games? plus box art and stuff

>> No.4710473

>>4710441
Only SNES games that are compatible with the stock emulator get rewind, all games get the 4 save slots, though adding more games can cause issues with the saves since the rewind feature causes the saves on SNES games to be huge.

It's recommended to only use save slots for a handful of the games you're currently playing, and then rely on the built in saves when you're done plalying.

How is the input lag when using one of these devices? As well as compared to a raspberry pie 3.

I don't notice a delay unless my TV isn't in gaming mode. You need to set your tv to gaming mode.

So it's basically a cheaper Wii that runs their SNES emulator. Why in the living fuck it can't access their Virtual Console eShop is beyond me. Sometimes I wonder if it's even humans doing their decisions.

you cant, its the only game that doesnt work on it.

you can however get the superior arcade version with no loading times and better music on it.
or you could just play sf alpha 3 or sf 3 which is better

is that with Retroarch? sorry, I'm from /sp/ and illiterate when it comes to these things. I won this thing at work and got excited about it.

yes retro with hakchi.
just go on youtube and look for snes classic hack or something similar. its very easy

>> No.4712537

>>4712376
It actually does work. You got to patch the rom first. (And it has load times)
But why would you play the Snes version when you can put retroarch on there and play the arcade version?

Don't think so. The NES Classic had official controllers sold separately, but I don't think this one does. Only ever seen third party ones.

So I got a USB Host add-on and a 128gb flash drive. I also have two retro receivers and a WiiU Pro and 8bitdo SF30 Pro controller. (So lack of buttons on SNES controllers aren't that big of an issue)
I'm planning to put some SegaCD, TG16/PCE CD and PS1 games on it. (Some more MAME too like Outfoxies if I can) Any recommendations?

Well. I did it anyway. 90gb worth of games on my Snes Classic. Can confirm PS1, Sega CD, and TG16 CD all work really well on it.
You want PS1 games in .pbp eboot format (emuparadise is a good place to get them preconverted but its easy to do with the tool you used to do it yourself for psp popstation) And for Sega CD and TG16 CD theres a tool included in Kylands retroarch kit in the xtras folder that lets you convert them to .chd files.
Just have to make sure each entries command line in haxchi is manually changed from bin/chd or bin/pbp to bin/segacd or bin/pcecd in the case of chd or bin/psx or pcsx for pbp files you add in.
(Because haxchi cant autodetect, so you're telling it which emulator it should be using)
I put like 100+ PS1 games on there, 30 Sega CD games, and 30 TG16 CD games on there. I got like 20gb left still for some Mame shit later.
Also I know PS1 works for sure because I played International Track and Field earlier and broke the games world record in Discus.
