So I finally have my own place, and a room left over which I intend to use as a game room.

I'd appreciate any ideas you guys might have to fill it with, or just post pics of cool collections / game rooms you know of

Building a proper arcade cabinet is what I plan to do when I move out. I don't mind emulating, but if I can get my hands on a real cabinet for cheap I won't hesitate to buy.

I might even be tempted to build a small compartment on the side of the one I make to house my booze. Just to justify having a cabinet in the living room.

4/4

Not ideal, but it's holding things together for the time being.

A/V Switch Box

Be warned, cheap ones love to ruin signal quality and good ones can get quite expensive.

What are good switch boxes? I found a cables to go brand 4 in 2 out composite switch that has good amazon reviews. I like that I can route 4 sources to 2 televisions. I was a little put off when I found out both outputs are the same but that still seems like the best solution I can find so far.

What switch boxes does /vr/ use?

Thanks. I thought it was pretty gnar. There was a thread about trying to dig up an archive of sticker sources, but It seems that collectors are hesitant to make the stickers available. What a shame.

Back to my question

What switch boxes does /vr/ use for a multiconsole set up? Is there a brand or model I should be aware of?

>> No.486632

I pretty much just plug whatever I need at the time into a front Video 2 port.
If you don't have a TV with a front port, get one.
Though I can't imagine having an old RF-only TV with dials and knobs to manually adjust every little video signal.

Put ones that fit in gallon storage bags. Only allow four of each in a drawer, rest go in EXTRA box. Pick up a cheap plastic cabinet thingy, sort by generation.

Least that's what I do.

Also, tie cables with rubber bands. Saves on wear and tear, and it's easier to store.
