In this thread we de-value expensive items we cannot have. I'll make the start. I fucking hate the neo geo aes. It only has shit games and ALL of them are fighting games. Man i hate this crap thing. Streets of rage 2 is better anyway!

I wanted to get a super Nintendo but all hardware is worn out, buttons mushy and yellow casing yet overpriced as fuck and it can be easily emulated on pretty much anything new like computers and phones.

I've wanted one since I was like 5 or 6. There are a few on ebay (NTSC at that, majority were PAL), and while I have the money I also have a newborn and can't justify spending 300 to 400 on it. Oh well, guess Ill just get the old A4000 hooked up again someday.

It's discontunued meaning limited supply and a lot of people want it. These people now have disposable income and want to get their childhood systems or those systems they wanted as child but couldn't get back.

This combination leads to everything becoming expensive, it can happen to literally anything. Could have happened that 95 percent of all pogs got burned in the big pog fire and people remembering them wanting them back, then those worthless dics of cardboard would cost crazy amounts too.

Speculating in Beany Babies becoming valuable was just plain stupid though

But this is mostly true. Expensive or not, I can't say I care for anything in the system's library. While I do like fighting games to an extent, I've never like SNK fighting mechanics and therefore I do not own or play any fighting games developed by SNK.
